Trade #1 in 2019 & 2020 for Cooks?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade #1 in 2019 & 2020 for Cooks?

Postby jdacunha » Tue Nov 21, 2017 2:02 pm

I'm 5-6 and will make the playoff (potentially division winner, team in sig).

My RB's are garbage, McKinnon has saved me a few weeks. I have survived with Wilson and the Ravens lately.

I do not have a #1 in 2018.

Is it worth traded my #1 in 2019 and 2020 for Cooks? That way my starting 3 WRs would be Evans, AJG, Cooks for the rest of the season. My plan would be to shop AJG in the offseason. I have not been getting any good offers for him now. My thought is to acquire a high #1 next year to land a young RB. I'd then have OBJ, Evans and Cooks as my WR core.

I may counter and ask for Doug Martin and Cooks. Thoughts?

I may ask for Chris Carson instead of Martin.

If you can get some RB help, that's not awful value for Cooks

I think the picks alone is a good trade for Cooks. They're so far out. Anything on top is an added bonus.

As long as they're not both early, I like it.

You're seriously debating on whether you'd rather have Cooks over a pair of Firsts from 19 and 20?? Easily Cooks here.

You're really burying yourself with regard to picks, but I'd probably make the deal anyway if I'm you...

The owner agreed to add Carson for a 2020 2nd. I’m taking the deal.

I liked the deal from the start, was just worried about not getting a RB back or some lottery ticket RB.
