Competing: OBJ for AB?

Postby fantasydem » Mon Nov 20, 2017 9:09 pm

Team 2 in signature.. would you guys move OBJ for AB? I’m sitting at 6-5 (after this week) fighting for the last two playoff spots w two other teams, both sitting at 6-5 (I currently hold the tiebreaker w the most points scored). Would you guys make this move? Would you try to get something thrown in? Other guys of note are.. Mike Thomas, Marvin Jones, Tarik Cohen

Side note* Currently 3rd in both scored points & opponents points. Teams statistically have had their best weeks against me

It's a tough call here. Basically you add him now you are all in on the season. Your top young wr is gone and you have a top wr, but he is getting closer to 30, adding too two other top wr's quickly approaching 30. I guess you have to ask yourself if you make this move can you win this whole thing??

I think if you can get something small added, it would be worth it if you feel it will put you over the top.

With your team, I'd really consider it. He matches up with the rest of your stud's timeline of elite years left. This is a big year for that roster to try to win.

With that roster I would do it. You look like your set to win. Also I would ask him to throw Cohen in, and I would consider starting him this week over Howard in a game the bears will likely be playing a lot of catch up vs the Saints.

Yea I think you go for it and see if you can get an added throw in. AB is getting up there but hes still got plenty of prime left assuming Roethlisberger hangs around. OBJ's qb situation may be just a unknown as ABs if not more

This is really tough. In a vacuum, I'd say absolutely not as you're theoretically trading away the 4-5 years of additional production from Odell over AB. However, other posters are right about the timeline of your team and AB fitting it with AJG, LeSean and Julio. You know your league and competing teams best. If you have a coin flip of winning the title, may be worth it.

If you feel like AB will be that catalyst to take your team on a legit championship run (which I think he is), then you should do it. Fantasy football is about winning, after all.

I think you need to get something else on top.
