Help with team construction

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Help with team construction

Postby xnbomb » Sun Nov 19, 2017 11:26 pm

1st year dynasty team, 12 team standard 1 QB 2RB 2WR 1 TE Flex

Cousins, Goff, Watson, Peterman (lol)
Drake, Jamaal Williams, Cook, Foreman, Mack, Pernine, Breida
Hopkins, Julio, Parker, Davis, Coleman, Mike Williams, Allen Robinson, Josh Gordon
Ertz

Team is 4-6 with Julio vs Wilson with a 5 point lead. If I win, I have a shot at the playoffs, if I lose I have a shot at the #1 overall pick. I currently have 3 1sts-mine, one that is looking like the #1 overall pick, and another that looks like it'll be top 3.

I've also got to trim this part of the roster to 18 by the end of the season (at 20). Peterman will be gone, and then I have no idea. I also have to make room for the 3 draft picks who will all be easily roster able. I have 0 idea how to package any of these guys away, one team has only Ben as there QB so I'm going to try to ship Cousins for a 2019 draft pick if Ben retires.

One trade I'm looking at is getting rid of Julio and trying to get Hunt before the trade deadline (Saturday). I can't for the life of me figure out the value here-do I need to offer more? Do I ask for more? I was thinking a package of Williams and Julio works, he needs WR more than RB and Williams can slip in if need be, and I dont see him with much value after this year.

Any help would be appreciated

I'd be fine with moving Julio for a top young rb. Sell him on the fact Julio is a game changer, proven, etc, Hunt (who I think will be a quality rb for many years) has had a down turn since his first few weeks. I think most of that is due to injuries on the o-line and he will turn it around. I'd offer up Julio, your 2nd for Hunt and his 1st.

I'd easily do Julio for Hunt straight up in non-ppr. I'd probably even add a little.

Julio for Hunt makes a lot of sense.

I think you have a pretty solid roster overall, after cutting Peterman(easy choice) I'd look to package players like Parker & Williams for an upgrade at either rb or Wr so your not losing someone for nothing

Like others have said, if you can get Hunt, do it. But that 1st overall would be nice to grab a top rb prospect with to pair with Cook (if he returns to form)
