Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
After the first 4 weeks of the season this VS would be laughable. Not so much anymore, i am wondering what people think about these two rookies running backs for the rest of the season and moving forward. If the Hunt owner wants to trade straight up for Kamara in a 0.5 PPR league would you make the move or hold onto Kamara.
Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
I prefer Kamara now, and long term. Think Kamara can be a 3 down back and is a more dynamic talent. I would be holding Kamara.
Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
Give me Hunt. Think Kamara will fill the Darren Sproles roll wonderfully. But they will always have a Thunder to his Lightning taking away snaps.

Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
I'd still take Hunt, especially in just .5 ppr, but it's much closer now than it was a few weeks ago.
Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
I'm a Hunt fan boy and will take him but must say the peeps I trust for talent evaluation were down on Kamara as an NFL runner but he obviously has impressed so far. I may regret taking Foreman over Kamara later in round 1 but am curious to see how this plays out in the next few years.
I still see Hunt as the superior RB and think he wins many FF championships down the stretch this year and in the future..

Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
Hunt by a long shot, and I LOVE Kamara. But he should not be thrust into a 3 down roll, and almost certainly won't be given that system. Matter of fact I'd venture to say it's best for his future value that he never is. He's a dynamic player and should remain in the role he's in to maximize his potential.

Give me Kamara. Seems more dynamic.
In too many leagues to list players. Check out my Dynasty Deep Dive!
Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
This is a tough one... I think I would go with Kamara. I like the overall team dynamic versus the Hunt scenario. Good post!
Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
Give me Kamara.
The differences between the two are minimal in terms of skills, size, and ability. The separation is talent. Kamara just makes things happen, while Hunt mostly takes what is given to him. He's supposed to go down to the ground yet spins out of a tackle. He's going to be crushed at the line but makes a move to avoid contact entirely. He has intangibles that can't be taught. Hunt has good ability and will be a top 12 back for quite a long time, but I think Kamara's ceiling is much higher.
Also: The Saints already had Ingram & AP on the team, TRADED UP IN THE DRAFT, giving away a future 2nd, and used it to draft Kamara.
EDIT: I love Hunt's schedule from here on out. I'd rather have Hunt for the remainder of this season, and then use him to trade for Kamara in the off-season.

Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
It’s much closer now but I’m looking at the coaches history. Reid has always been a one rb who is the bell cow for him. Payton has always used the rbbc approach to him backfield. I can see Kamara taking over the lead role, Ingram being let go, but them adding someone else. I like Hunt here, but slightly.

Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
Full ppr I would go Kamara. 1/2ppr I lean hunt due to the risk of Saints replacing Ingram with another true between the tackles back to steal Kamaras touches
I think Kamara could be a between the tackles back from watching, McCafrey does no look like he can be that. I'd take Kamara over McCafrey at this point in a heartbeat

Re: Alvin Kamara vs Kareem Hunt
2x. I was kicking myself the first month of the season for taking Kamara over Hunt at 1.09, but now I'm feeling much better about my rookie draft.hockeyBjj wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 6:49 am Full ppr I would go Kamara. 1/2ppr I lean hunt due to the risk of Saints replacing Ingram with another true between the tackles back to steal Kamaras touches
