Miller for 19 1st & 18 3rd, or 18 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Miller for 19 1st & 18 3rd, or 18 1st

Postby psu007 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 7:08 pm

I'm currently sitting at 3-7 so trying to look forward to next year and if possible really stock up for the draft. Been shopping Miller most of the year and haven't got much in interest (seems to be consensus on here as well). Got either option available, a 19 1st & 18 3rd, or an 18 1st.

The other team is 7-3 and would be at pick 10 currently. He's a pretty solid team while still young so probably safe assumption he'll be a good team next year as well, but you never know I guess. I feel fairly confident I'll be a contender next year, plus I really want to try and get Barkley (PSU fan). So which one would you prefer?

I'm leaning towards trading my 18 1st which would be no better than 1.10 but we're still going over some details. I'd say a either would be as good as you're gonna get though.

I agree, I'm taking one. Just grappling with the instant gratification of the 18 1st or take a chance on that 19 1st being higher.

I think he's worth more than a late 1st, but of those offers, I'd rather have the pick in 2018.

Not a Miller fan, I'd gladly take the 1st.

I could totally see Houston taking a RB pretty high on the draft next year (The Texas Longhorn kid isn't the answer IMO)

I'm guessing he meant he'd take any first for him. Man the Lamar Miller takes on this site differ more than any other player!

Barkley will be a stud.. do everything you possibly can to get him. Could be top 3 Dynasty RB next year.
Barkley for President - 10 Teams, 23 Man Rosters, QRRWWWTFDK, Cap is $852 this year and Increases by 5% each year while each players contract goes up by 20% each year. Players can be signed 5 years at a time max unless a rookie, which is 3 if drafted. If won in auction can be 5 years. Can only extend a player once, EX signifies that player is Extended. Devy players count against cap as well.

QB - Jameis Winston EX 2YRS at $42 and Sam Darnold 2YRS at $14

RB - Saquon Barkley 2YRS at $35, Dalvin Cook 1YR at $17, Rex Burkhead 1YR at $4, Ty Montgomery 3YRS at $14, Damien Williams 1YR at $2, Royce Freeman 2YRS at $10

WR - Amari Cooper EX 5YRS at $50, Sammy Watkins EX 3YRS at $60, Golden Tate 1YR at $60, Devante Parker EX 1YR at $35, Kenny Golladay 4YRS at $2

TE - Travis Kelce EX 5YRS at $52, Austin Hooper 2YRS at $12

D/ST - Rams 1YR at $2, Chiefs 1YR at $3

K - Stephen Gostowski 1YR at $3

I own Pick 3.9 in a Devy depleted Rookie/Devy Draft.

I just sent Miller off for a 2018 2nd and 2019 1st. I agree with Goddard I would've rather had a 2018 first, but I felt the value of a 1st and 2nd was too good to pass up. See if you can get your league mate to bump his 3rd to a 2nd and then I think you have a deal.

I'd rather have Miller than a late 1st. He was PPR RB11 last year with horrible QB play. He's currently two spots back from that. While in Miami he scored high as well despite limited touches and he's only 26. He's not as sexy as the shiny new rookie will be, but ehh...

That's the range people were starting to grab guys like Perine and Foreman last year (Hunt too, so obviously it could work out well).
