Late season push offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Late season push offer

Postby Ghosted » Wed Nov 15, 2017 11:09 am

So... for team 1, I'm making a final push. I've been talking to the Hunt owner, and have offered a few different packages (all rejected). It complicates things that he's also in contention at 6-4. My latest offer was:

J. Howard and Jeffery for Hunt (feel like I'm losing value [pretty high on Howard], but championships are nice in this league since it's "high stakes"). How much further would you go in a push-move, or would you just roll with it?

As a side note, all of the other high-end backs are fairly untouchable, as they are on playoff teams.

I think that's already an overpay, so I wouldn't add anything more.

I wouldn't add much more. Has he given you a counter to gauge Hunt's worth to him?

QB - J. Hurts, M. Stafford, K. Cousins

TE - M. Andrews, G. Kittle, M. Cox

Nah, unfortunately he's one of those owners that rarely trades, and doesn't throw counters (I think we have all have them in each league).
Most of what I'm buying is the production from this year with Hunt, but I have a hard time gauging exactly what that's worth. I'm not a big fan of adding Landry as a bridge piece (w/ Howard), and nothing else really makes sense to me, but I thought I might be missing something. I'm fine with "losing trades," so long as it makes sense (if that even makes sense).

I am not a Howard believer per se, but if I look at your starting lineup with him/Alshon and without I just think whomever you are starting at your second flex is too big a drop off to make the move this year. Now if OBJ weren't injured, maybe I could consider it, but even then probably not. I am definitely not adding.

I'm pretty confident in starting Fitz or Davis there, and Hunt's upside in the playoffs could be league-winning. Starting Howard actually concerns me more than Fitz at this point (just because of the offense).
