These offers enough for Gronk?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

These offers enough for Gronk?

Postby cmv60 » Fri Nov 10, 2017 6:57 am

I'm in a full rebuild in my Superflex league. I've been trying to deal Gronk, but haven't gotten many offers that I felt were sufficient value. I'm sitting on the follow two offers however....

Offer 1 - Give Gronk & '18 4th. Get Corey Davis.

Offer 2 - Give Rivers, Gronk, AP. Get Rodgers, '18 3rd, & '19 1st. *this owner is a very win now team.

My team will probably finish in the 1.02-1.04 range fwiw.
Here's my roster:

QBs: Luck, Garoppolo, Kizer, Webb, Henne
RBs: Cook, Dion Lewis, Gio, AP, Kelley, Ware, Ellington, Blue, Joe Williams, Zenner
WRs: Cooks, Kupp, Golladay, Decker, Lockett, Kearse, Goodwin, T. Benjamin, Darboh, Wright
TEs: Gronk, Eifert, J. Cook, Clay, Allen

2018: 1.01 (guaranteed), 1.02-1.04, late 1st (1.08-1.12 range), 2.01, & 2.02-2.04
2019: all my picks

Should I hold? Both offers weren't given with much wiggle room from what they've said.

I do not like the first one at all.

The second one seems very cheap for Arod in a superflex. Arod is probably the #1 player in a superflex, and you get a first on top. I would jump on that ASAP.

Unless you are confident that you will get a better price for Rodgers, i would stilldo the first one, i mean, your are in complete rebuilde.

Rodgers will be 34 before he can use him, and atleast 35 before his team is good enough to maybe compete..

I'd take the youth..

Like Davis, but (if healthy) the thought of rolling out Luck and Arod is too much to pass on for me

This has been my biggest hold up. Starting Luck and Rodgers could be a dynamic 1,2 punch for the next 3 or so years assuming I hit on some rookie picks to build up the rest of my team so I can start competing again.

Both seem fair. Davis is a gamble but is somewhat balanced by Gronk's health risk. And in a superflex, i would think you could flip Rodgers for a solid rebuild package.

First one isn't bad, but the second offer is a snap accept.

I would easily do the second trade, then flip Rodgers for Wentz/Dak plus.

RB - S. Barkley, D. Cook, E. Elliot, T. Pollard, A. Mattison
WR - D. Adams, DK Metcalf, A. Cooper, C. Ridley, R. Anderson, C. Davis, J. Jones

I do not like deal 1 at all. Gronk may get hurt but he's the best at his position while Davis is such an unknown. Give me deal #2. Rodgers is around for at least 3 more years, to pair with Luck, that's awesome.
QB - Love, Jones
RB - Swift, Etienne, Dillon, Dillon, Montgomery, Williams
WR - Hill, Brown, Dotson, Mooney, Smith, Waddle, Wilson
TE - Henry, Kmet, Okonkwo

I'd take the 2nd deal, with a healthy Luck and Rodgers, those 2 alone could carry a team. Then take Barkley with the 1.01 and maybe package the other 2 picks for a great WR. With the shape your team is in I would take the trade with the most value and then worry about making more trades to even out your roster later
12 Team 1QB PPR
8 Starters - QB 1, RB 2(4), WR 3(5), TE 1(3)

QB - Kyler Murray, Derek Carr, Kenny Pickett
RB - Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Kyren Williams, Travis Etienne, James Conner, Antonio Gibson, Chris Rodriguez
WR - Tee Higgins, Jordan Addison, Michael Pittman, Nico Collins, Rashee Rice, Christian Watson, Jerry Jeudy, Rashod Bateman
TE - Sam Laporta, Kyle Pitts, Darren Waller, Isaiah Likely
Picks - 2.10, 3.10, 4.10, 5.10
