Dalvin Cook & Mid 1st for Kareem Hunt

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Dalvin Cook & Mid 1st for Kareem Hunt

Postby eraldo_coil » Mon Nov 06, 2017 3:25 pm

I feel like the price is a tad high, but it would solidify my win-now group sitting at 7-2 and the top of my division.

Thoughts?

I would give Cook and a first everyday for Hunt. That is an instant accept for me.

I see Cook and Hunt as the same player come next year. Adding a mid first is a little steep to win now. I would ask for a second in return.
12 Team (2014 Champ, 2016 2nd, 2021 Champ) 1.0 PPR, 1.5 TE, Superflex, Start 9, 1-2 QB, 2-4 RB, 3-4 WR, 1-3 TE

QB - J. Hurts, M. Stafford, K. Cousins
RB - S. Barkley, D. Cook, E. Elliot, T. Pollard, A. Mattison
WR - D. Adams, DK Metcalf, A. Cooper, C. Ridley, R. Anderson, C. Davis, J. Jones
TE - M. Andrews, G. Kittle, M. Cox

That's probably the difference in value right now and would pay it if I was trying to win this year. A year from now though, they should be pretty even and wouldn't be surprised if Cook had the better career.

Unless you are competing this year, keep Cook. I just added him for Mixon. I also got a second out of it.
QB: Jimmy G,Mahomes, Andy Dalton, Brisset, and Stidham
RB: Zeke, Saquan, Dalvin Cook, Guice, J.Hill, and Damien Harris
WR: Diggs, DJ Moore, JuJu, Sutton, Fuller, Paris
TE:Hunter Henry, Irv Smith, Herndon

I see these two as having equal value. Im a big Hunt supporter but I find myself a little frustrated with the amount of touches kc has been giving him(although that could change on any given week). A mid first is a little steep for me, most id give up would be a 2nd on top.

Absolutely for a win now team. Cook just blew up his knee in his rookie season. That's relevant...

There's no way in hell I'd be dishing out Cook+ for Hunt. You're losing a ton of value. You have McKinnon & Miller? Good enough, roll with it.

I paid an iron price, but the deal is done and I got Kareem. My trade deadline is in two days and I feel like I did what I had to do to solidify my chances of a ship run. Thanks for the advice everyone I hope It works out!

The first is a little high but probably what you need to pay considering Cook is hurt. You weren't going to get it done with a lesser pick.

I like it. our trade deadline is in two weeks, and if I lost the next two weeks to drop out of the running, I might try to shop hunt to the cook owner...

I think it's steep, but would anyone here not happily pay a first round to dramatically increase their chances of winning the championship since that's what we're here to do? Not just have a pretty team year after year that has high value

It's definitely a win for the now Cook owner long term, but I think may be worth it for Hunt's current production

addendum- Weeks 1 through 3, Hunt was the #1 runningback (in ppr at least)

Weeks 4-9 however, he's been the #12 RB. worse even than that since he hasn't had his bye week in that time. By per game average he's #14, and hasn't scored 17 points or more since week 3. Teams may have some game tape on him and have been limiting him more

He might not be the saving grace to a championship run, being more a RB2 than and RB1 recently
