Hopkins or Mixon/Adams

Postby Needalife » Fri Oct 20, 2017 8:19 am

For team in sig, would you trade Mixon and Davante Adams for Hopkins? I'm currently middle of the pack in 12-team

QB - Brees
RB - Le'Veon, Fournette
WR - Evans, Adams
TE - Delanie
3 FX - Mixon, Rudolph, Doyle (TE premium)

Next tier... Gio, Aaron Jones, Gallman, Ginn, Marvin Jones, M Wallace

I would replace Adams with Hopkins and then have to replace Mixon with one of the guys in the "next tier" as I list above.

I feel like that's a bit heavy for Nuk, but I would still take him. I'd see if the other side would throw in a 2nd

I would. I don't believe in Adam's long term this seems like a good price for him

Hopkins. I'd try and get even a 3rd added. But if that's a deal breaker, just Hopkins.

I'll go against the grain here.

1) I am a believer in Hopkins. I don't think that Watson will sustain his TD rate, though, and he has only had one game of more than 76 yards this year.

2) Adams's 2017 value takes a hit without Rodgers.

3) Mixon is off to a slow start.

Nonetheless, I'd keep your duo. First of all, you don't have the depth to replace them for bye weeks or injuries. In addition, long-term, I think that Adams will be closer to Hopkins than most believe. And I also think that Mixon will be a difference-maker at RB.

In order for you to "win" this trade, you need all three of the above things to remain in your favor: Hopkins sustaining his TD rate this year; Adams dropping a lot without Rodgers; and Mixon having a poor year. If any of those three turns, then I think that you'll be regretting this trade in 2017 and certainly in the future.

I'd hold.
