Mike Williams + 2018 1st & 2nd for AJ Green

Postby galla22k » Wed Oct 18, 2017 6:19 am

My team currently sits in 7th place at 3-3. Looking for advice whether or not to pull the trigger on a “win-now” deal or if my team doesn’t need it to push me over the top & I should just stay the course with my underperforming players.

Giving up:
Mike Williams & my team’s 2018 1st & 2nd rd picks

Receiving:
AJ Green

Do 6 teams make the playoffs? If so I would probably make this deal.

My other suggestion would be to look for a trade that upgrades your QB and TE instead. Kittle may get you by, but you already have great depth at WR.

Is the 2018 first your own? Adding AJG would make it later and Williams is worth a late first so that's 2 late firsts and a 2nd for AJG. Super deal and I think you have a solid enough line up to contend. TE is your only glaring weakness but Njoku has been surprisingly startable.

Yes, 6 teams make playoffs. Tiebreaker is "Points For," which I'm currently sitting at 8th. Also should have mentioned it's a TE premium league (full point-per-reception for TEs. 0.5 for RBs & WRs)

I'd view this as selling AJG low, so if it's offered I'd pay that for him. As mentioned, a better TE should also be a goal...Duke or Samny should net you exactly that

This is tough. Your team looks good on paper and Green can help you make a nice playoff push, making your 1st end up being late. If you think that's the case, go for it.

I think if you are in contention this year, then I would definitely rather have AJ. YOu can recoup what you spent to get him this offseason.

Considering what AJG could be worth at the end of the season, I think I would do that. You might be able to still get a 1st and mid round pick for him

If there's a good chance you'd make the playoffs with AJG then I'd do it.

I think you do it and bet on yourself to have a good run and make those picks late

Don't need to be a league leader all season to win a championship, just do enough to get to the party and have 3 good weeks once there. AJG certainly helps you on both accounts

Definitely acquire AJ Green, but then you should trade him to someone else in your league in exchange for, like...Braxton Miller and a 3rd round pick or something. Yeah?
Format - 12-team, keep forever, 0.5 PPR (1.0 PPR for TE), starts QB/2RB/2WR/TE/FLEX/K

I like it. I'd look to upgrade at TE also after you acquire Green though.

i guess i would but as others have said i think qb and TE are a bigger priority. you have tons of good players to already fill out your flex spot.

Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp
