In a vacuum, using only random picks, I'd have to say it would take 2 Firsts. I would strongly consider selling him for a First and a 2nd if from a crappy team tho. Howard is a solid player but he's not irreplaceable.

He's closer to CJA or even latter-day Gore than he is to a guy like M. Gordon in terms of NFL talent level (not comparing running styles of course)

I'm lower on him than most (he seems to be constantly nicked up with his shoulder problems and there's nothing around him offensively), but I would probably put him somewhere around a 1st and a 2nd, maybe two 1sts if they're later.

The only way a 1st and a 2nd is enough is if the 1st is 1.01. Coming into the season, I called him a top 5 dynasty RB. I haven't seen anything that would sway me from that opinion as only 4 RBs have more rushing yards and only 2 have more rushing TDs. He's in an offense where he's the only viable weapon and still producing - something Gurley struggled with over the last year and a half.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I would love him for pick 1.01 easily. I would also move him for two mid firsts

Two later 1sts OR an early 1st plus a 2nd at a minimum. Why deal away a top 5 RB for less? No one is ever going to move any of the top 3 for that price. I guarantee Gurley owners aren't going to move him for that right now either.
