Fork in the road?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Fork in the road?

Postby jimmyjamtin » Tue Oct 17, 2017 5:50 am

Need some advice for my team in signature.

Sitting 4th at 3-3 after a slow start but with a wide open competition.

I recently sold fournette to the team in last for Melvin Gordon and his 2018pick (Bonus). Wondering whether I should put a package together with players and/or picks and make a run at the championship this year, or just keep building for the next couple of years? Open to all suggestions.

I would keep building for next year. I do not see you being able to make a big impact move without selling off too much of your future.

I tend to agree with above...what draft capital do you have for next year? Hopefully that 1st you just traded for stays a top 2 pick.

I think you will need a significant upgrade (or healthy luck) st QB, one more solid RB (could be from that early 1st you got next year) and a bit more WR depth (Arob)

To me things are lining up for a strong chance next year. I'm not saying don't stay invested in this year but I would not go selling off any of your big young guys. Maybe you can move some depth options for a few upgrades but I wouldn't be trading any early draft picks if I were you.

I don't think you're quite ready to compete, so keep building. I don't think you need any major moves though.

Thanks for the advice, was thinking the same. No luck and eifert this year hasn't helped my cause. I've got that pick which will be projected top 2 and my own first.
