Taking Advantage of Rodgers Going Down

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Taking Advantage of Rodgers Going Down

Postby Triton85 » Mon Oct 16, 2017 12:28 pm

The owner (4-2) of Rodgers in my league only has Hoyer as a backup, and the only FA are Eli and McCown. Players that he has that I'm interested in are Ingram, Engram and Rodgers.

I am 3-3 but started horrible, have been decent the past 3 weeks though. We've been chatting on and off today regarding Stafford / Newton deal. What sort of value do you think I can/should expect from these guys given the position I'm in

What are some deals that other people have had to make with Rodgers going down?

Stafford + Mack + Moncrief for Rodgers + 2nd? None of those guys are starting for you unless you run into injuries/byes.

I'd try it straight up or just stand pat since it's 1 qb. Taylor & cam might work.

I just don't see him moving Ingram or engram plus rodgers......for a very friendly expense on your end.

Try Cam for Engram straight up.

His offer this morning was Doctson and Walker for Cam. I politely declined. Probably going to stand pat for now, let him suffer a week or 2 with junk off the wire

Doesn't make sense for that team to deal a starting player to replace Rodgers as he needs even more from those guys to offset the drop from Rodgers to whoever. Would further weaken his team since he'd just be borrowing from one position to replace another and create a hole there.

The obvious and smart move would be to deal draft picks and/or bench pieces to find a Rodgers replacement. That's what you should be expecting to craft an offer around.

Yea I agree. I just sent him an offer for Stafford for picks.

After this season the league is implementing a roster position cap - 1 team draft 7 qbs so the league decided to add a cap of 4 per team

I just saw a deal of Wilson for Cooper go down in one of my leagues. Coop was his WR4 and he just lost ARod.

Right now the offer on the table, first one I've offered that he said is fair and is going to look at in:

Stafford + mid 3rd for Hoyer + late 1st

Hate having to do even swaps on Yahoo. Can't wait till we get into MFL

Is the 1st his? Why do you project as late?

Stafford is banged up himself but will likely play through it plus he has a bye this week. Seems like a good deal especially with your QB depth.

He is currently 4-2, and still put up the highest points last week even though Rodgers went down. He has a decent team.

He lost his best FA option too in a FAAB bid, so stafford is looking even better for him
