Trade for Amari

The Amari owner in my league is looking to bail. He's considering my offer of Moncrief + 2018 2nd. I know on paper this is a good deal for me, but it worries me that Amari's hasn't toped 60 yards since week 9 of last year. I also haven't quite given up on Moncrief since he's only 24 (there are rookies his age). Any thoughts on the potential trade? I've already dealt my 1st and 3rd next year, so I wouldn't be picking until the 4th next year.

It sounds to me like your hesitating because you value Moncrief over Cooper straight up. Is that really correct??

This is a rare case where, even if that were the case, I would go against my gut and trade the player that I prefer (Moncrief) for the one that I do not prefer (Cooper); the value is too good, and, if I'm wrong, the missed opportunity is faaaarrrrr too great. Gotta bet against yourself here and take the trade.

I don't care how bad amari has been. This is getting him at less than half price. As an amari owner I would not even counter if it was proposed to me. At this point I'm just holding and hoping he turns it around. No way I'm selling at low point.

The things you're worried about don't make sense. You say that Moncrief is only 24, yet Cooper is only 23. You say that Cooper hasn't topped 60 yards since week 9 last year, but Moncrief hasn't topped 60 yards since week 1 of last year. Heck Moncrief hasn't topped 70 yards since week 12 of 2015. That was 706 days ago!!

I just traded Cooper for Keenan Allen and an early 1st (top 3) and thought about it for 3 days before pulling the trigger. You're giving up nothing to get him. If you dont like him flip him for more. Warning....Amari is FRUSTRATING!

Cooper would have to suck for a whole extra year to be half as bad of an asset as moncrief. Make the trade!
