Theo Riddick

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Theo Riddick

Postby Mike from Canada » Mon Oct 02, 2017 9:55 pm

He seems to be disappearing before our eyes. On the wire is Gio, Aaron Jones and Wayne Galman. Time to drop him for one of these 3? This is PPR.

Thanks.

You gotta have someone worse to drop.

Not really. The lowest pedigree WR on my bench is Theilen. Other's with less production are not droppable (Cooper, Hilton, etc). My RB's on the bench are Coleman, Crowell, Charles, Kamara, Foreman.

I don't see Riddick ever taking over the backfield. I'd rather roll the dice on Gallman.

Riddick is the epitome of a game-script player.

Game 1 vs. Ari: Det down in the 3rd quarter, gets receiving TD. Then up and then up big in the 4th quarter; no Riddick. Okay game script. 7 targets, 6 receptions.
Game 2 vs NYG: Det up the whole way. Did get 9 carries and 3 receptions, but not an ideal game script.
Game 3 vs Atl: Great game script and got 9 targets. Only caught 4, but his role was what you would expect it to be.
Game 4 vs. Min: Grind-it-out kind of game where Abdullah was looking gooood. 4th quarter was a running situation. Poor game script.

There next four games are against Car, NO, Pit, and GB -- among the highest-scoring offenses in the league. Those are the games where Riddick tends to do better.

Short-hand rule: if the opponent will likely score a lot of points, then the game script will likely favor him. If not, then not.

So, I wouldn't sweat it Riddick's production to this point.
