A second right now is a good dice roll to get a starting RB with some upside. Jacquizz hasn't torn it up so the job should be Dougie's easy when he's back.

It's all speculation at this point but I think a 2nd rounder is worth it considering those are all mostly dice rolls anyway.

If he has a killer first week, owners won't be willing to part with him as easily for a second. If he underperforms, then there's a potential buy low window... Which will still probably cost you in the second round range. Now seems like the time to take the shot (I wouldn't spend a first though).

I'd offer up the highest 2nd rd pick that you have right now. I know the TB coach has said he isn't guaranteed to be the starter when he returns, but too me that is a kick in the bleep for him. I'd try and buy low with a 2nd.

I think this is solid. If you can get him for a 2nd now, do it. If he performs he'll almost certainly cost a late 1st. If he's up and down... he'll probably still cost a 2nd just for his demonstrated upside to a contender.

I don't think you are getting him for a 2nd at this point. I wouldn't pay a 1st, but I doubt anyone that still has him will sell for less.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

A 2nd, to me, is nowhere near enough.

2nds are lottery tickets.

Doug has ups and downs but has 2 1400 yard seasons under his belt in a high powered offense.

Try both 2nds, but I'd still need more personally.
Fig Newtons - 12 team superflex .5 ppr, qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, te, Flex, SF
QB - Dak, Brissett, Purdy
RB - Najee, Swift, J.Robinson, D.Henderson, McKinnon,
WR - M.Thomas, D.Hop, DJ Moore, Miller, G.Davis, MVS
TE - Kittle, Gesicki, Hockenson
Picks: 2023 - 1, 2, 2, 3, 4

Young Newts - 14 team .25 ppr Superflex, qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, te, wr/rb, OP
QB - Allen, Wilson, Cousins
RB - Chubb, L.Bell, Ingram, K.Johnson, Mack, T.Coleman
WR - M.Thomas, OBJ, Woods, Moore, Godwin, R.Anderson
TE - Gesicki, Witten, Irv
Picks: 2022 - 3, 4, 5

DirkaDirka - 12 team PPR Superflex
QB: Mayfield, Allen, M.Ryan, Bridgewater, Mond
RB: Mixon, Swift, Sanders, Ekeler, DJ, Kerryon
WR: Tyreek, A.Cooper, D.Adams, A-Rob, C.Davis, P.Williams, V.Jefferson, Duverney
TE: Kelce, Rudolph, Hollister
2022: All picks

You may not be selling for a 1st, which is fine, but no one's buying for a 1st either.

He's had two good years, but he's also had 3 very bad ones. Not to mention he'll be 29 in a few months. And the suspension doesn't help.

No one who is any good at anything to do with fantasy is going to give you Martin for a 2nd. No one.
They could have gotten that for him at anytime during the offseason and certainly anytime over the past month.
Those that are saying just go get him for a 2nd are the people who don't want him. That's fine, but that ain't gonna get it done.

It's that time of year when we play to win the games.

Why would I give up Martin for a lottery ticket that most likely will NEVER have the opportunity of touches that Martin literally could have in 3 days?

Two seconds maybe. I would would personally want a little more. If you're going after Martin that means you're trying to contend this year. that always costs more.

You can say the same about someone giving up a 1st for him...No One. Maybe two 2nds like you suggested, but I'd rather pay that for someone else, if possible. You're right though, the people saying get him for a 2nd most likely are people who don't want him (including me), but there's a reason for that.

The righteous indignation on this and many other threads is amusing. NO ONE will do that, sayeth the almighty fantasy prognosticators. Yeah, I'm just going to file all that BS along with the DAdams and Gurly are busts and just under all the "Jags aren't paying Ivory all that money to sit" commentary from earlier this and last year.
