Trade help

Postby ajpmn01 » Thu Sep 21, 2017 8:33 am

Need some help with this one. 12 team sf ppr, te premium, 28 roster, 5 taxi, one a devy spot. Took over team in serious need of a rebuild. I traded away the few studs for picks in 2017 and 2018 and youth. For 2018 draft, I have two firsts, an early and a late, 3 seconds, an early and two late and four more in the last 3 rounds.

The team is in bad shape, I'm only going to list the few highlights it has:
QB - Trubisky, McCarron. RB - D Cook. WR - S Shephard, A Stewart. TE - J Reed. Devy - Chubb.

I got an offer of Kirk Cousins for the two 2018 firsts. Part of me says I have to jump on this as an instant accept. But this team needs a lot more than one good QB.

No, keep your firsts. If one of those firsts are your first, it should land as the first overall pick. Don’t give that up for Kirk :nono:

Yeah 2x 1st for an average qb? No thanks. Build your core positions. Id e-slap someone if they sent me an offer like that.

Appreciate the help. I checked the trade finder after posting and realized I was way off. I countered with an early two. I thought people were a lot higher on Cousins than me. I never thought much of him until last year, but I didn't realize so many had cooled on him.

If one of those really is early, you'll be able to get one of the top QBs in next year's draft, which will probably have more value than Cousins alone.

Cousins went at the end of round 2 in a 12 team superflex start-up I did over the summer. I see you have devy players--how thin are your rookie drafts each year thanks to that? If most of the top prospects are already owned ahead of the draft, I could see spending 2 1sts on Cousins.
12 Team Superflex - PPR, 0.25 PPC - QB/2RB/3WR/TE/Flex/Superflex
QB: L Jackson, Tagovailoa, Rodgers, Pickett, Tannehill
RB: Swift, Pacheco, Sanders, Hubbard, Spears, Dillon, Herbert, McLaughlin, Chandler, Dowdle
WR: DeVonta, Waddle, Aiyuk, Nacua, McLaurin, Hopkins, M Williams, Mingo, Wan’Dale, Hyatt
TE: Kelce, Okonkwo, Schoonmaker

You won't be sad about passing on Cousins once Trubisky takes over in Chicago. Be patient.
