Arob value after ACL?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Arob value after ACL?

Postby albedo1986 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:35 pm

Authentically asking this question because I'm not necessarily an Arob fanboy, but I do believe he's talented and in a poor situation, but also believe that things may change after this year. Given everything that's happened to him, his stock seems to be at an all time low, and I like capitalizing on these things. Just want to get an idea on what people think of this trade for a potential contender for this year (or at least I think so?) or if I lost too critical of a piece to continue killin it.

Trade:
My Sanders, 2018 1st and 2018 4th for Arob and 2018 2nd

12 team full PPR

Dalton, Andy CIN QQ
Garoppolo, Jimmy NEP QB
Stafford, Matthew DET QB

Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE (Q)
McDonald, Vance PIT TE
Witten, Jason DAL TE

I think they would consider that.

I am not an ARob believer but I gave Cobb and 2 2nds for ARob after week 1 because I figure his value is almost guaranteed to appreciate next offseason, and could appreciate by a lot if he lands somewhere with a decent QB.

I would expect that to get rejected with no counter. But if you're somehow able to pull it off, good for you.

Yeah, drop the 2nd. Sanders isn't popular among dynasty owners, and with the team you have I suspect the ARob owner won't value your future 1st as a "high" 1st.

Sorry for some reason I thought I had said this in the first post but it was a trade I had already made and was hoping to gather info on what direction you think the trade was weighted towards. Looks like you guys would've taken the Arob side. I think he's attempting to contend and it was a bit of a sell high on Sanders after this last week.

No, this is why I wrote "Authentically asking because I'm not exactly a huge believer", was hoping to hear out both sides to this. I feel it's risky and honestly it didn't make me feel great after. I know dynasty is a long haul game but I feel like with Sanders I was a lock for the playoffs and now I'm feeling like it's questionable. I also believe that Sanders and his skillset make him an Antonio Brown-Light since his route running is crisp and with even serviceable QB play he can still put it all together. What I'm really wondering is what people think of the future for Arob, in a contract year, following an ACL tear.

Please read my actual post before assuming this is a "brag". If I was going to brag, I would just say it instead of pumping out some long-winded question.
