EDIT: Abdullah for a 2018 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

EDIT: Abdullah for a 2018 1st

Postby jcc6fd » Wed Sep 20, 2017 8:00 pm

Offer on the table is now a 2018 first for Abdullah. I have since acquired Demarco so I don't think I need Dullah for depth. Trade partner is 1:1 and should be pretty competitive. So would the 1.6-1.10 be enough for you to move him?

I think he's worth more than the 2.04, but I'd definitely trade him for the 1.05. Guess it depends on how much of a gambler you are, but given your RB depth I think you could take the gamble.
Team 1
10 Team, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 SF

QB: Mahomes, Cousins, Howell, Levis, Z. Wilson
RB: Taylor, Chubb, Walker, Achane, Kamara, A. Jones, Roschon Johnson, CEH, White, Ingram
WR: Lamb, Chase, AJ Brown, Evans, D. Johnson, Jeudy, Smith-Njigba, Hyatt, Scott
TE: Kittle, McBride, Schultz, Mayer, Ogletree, Mallory

Team 2
12 Team, 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex

QB: Hurts, Watson, M. Jones
RB: McCaffrey, Taylor, Dobbins, Roschon Johnson
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Higgins, Palmer, Peoples-Jones, Campbell, Shenault, Tyler Scott
TE: Andrews, Engram, Gesicki, Woods, Granson, Mallory

Team 3
12 Team, 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Superflex, 2 Flex

QB: Richardson, Tannehill, Mariota
RB: Sanders, White, Foreman, Scott, Brown, Kelley, Hill, Rodriguez
WR: Dotson, Johnson, Boyd, Slayton, Thorton, Downs, Duvernay, Patrick, Berrios, Austin, Gray, Williams, Scott
TE: Okonkwo, Smith, Musgrave, Washington, Bellinger, Granson, Ogletree, Mallory

You have to ve a favorite this year, so why trade your RB depth for a dart throw next year? I'd pass unless he took out that condition.
1: 12 team, .5PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 W/R/T
QB: Dak, Mayfield // RB: Mixon, Taylor, Akers, Gibson, McKinnon, Peterson, McFarland, Penny, Gio, Dallas, D. Williams // WR: Evans, Sutton, Chark, McLaurin, Boyd, Diontae, J. Jefferson, M. Williams, Crowder, Washington // TE: Goedert, OJH, Cox, Akins, Dissly

2: 12 team PPR, 6pt all TDs, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 W/R/T
QB: Watson, Minshew // RB: Saquon, Zeke, Cook, Drake, Mostert, McKinnon, Mattison, Pollard, Vaughn, Boston Scott, Ito // WR: Hopkins, Adams, Evans, Boyd, Diontae, Kirk, Lazard // TE: Hurst, Graham, Akins

3: 12 team SF, .5PPR, 6pt all TDs, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 W/R/T, 1 Q/W/R/T
QB: Wilson, Herbert, Carr, Lock, Smith, Stidham, Hoyer, Luck // RB: Cook, Chubb, Ekeler, Drake, Gibson, DJ, McKinnon, White, Hines, Mike Davis, JJ Taylor, Booker // WR: Moore, Lockett, ARob, Thielen, Reagor, Van Jefferson, Byrd // TE: Andrews, Henry

Offer on the table that I have made is to receive his first with a condition to receive his second if he finishes bottom 3 instead of 4. I know there are 2 teams definitely below him and I can't see him being the third worst team. Honestly I think he's making the playoffs (top 4) or is just outside of it.

I'm just concerned with the committee in DET, namely Washington stealing goal line carries. Trade would give me my 3rd 2018 1st so I'd have some serious ammo in next year's draft. Additionally I'd be in pretty bad shape if I needed to start Abdullah

If you're confident he won't finish bottom 3, then go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to be stuck giving him up for a 2nd.

Edited the post, the offer is for a 2018 first, no condition. Guy just made another trade which makes him a surefire competitor. Would a late first 1.06-1.10 be enough for anyone to move Abdullah

It would be for me, but I'm not as high on AA as others. I think you might be able to get slightly more if you shop him around.

I agree that it's possible, but I'm worried that the sell window may slam shut after this weekend. He had his highest yardage total last week, which either means he's a sell high or his outlook is improving. In standard scoring with him losing TD looks I'm just having trouble holding onto him

Think I'm going to go for it. Just a gut feeling he ends up being muddling for fantasy

Idk, all this hype about Derrick Henry stealing that job in TEN, i'd be trying to move Murray instead of Abdullah. Abdullah has looked really electric, and that oline on paper is excellent.

Yes. Sell Abdullah for this while you can. I think we're looking at his ceiling right now in that offense.

Good move. Been trying to move Abdullah for any 1st for awhile. Started to second guess myself during that last game... until he limped off the field after that last run of his. Small reminder of why he's not a long term hold.
