Do I IR Greg Olsen? (Cap Space Question)

I'm in a 12-man dynasty (team in signature). We have a 100M hard cap and I only have 1.8M left, minimum contract is 1M. So Essentially I can make one more waiver pick-up.

Would you IR Olsen to get back about 3M in cap space? I'm leaning towards keeping him on my active so I can use him in the playoffs. Once you IR a player in our league, they are lost for the season. Thanks.

With the two TEs you have I don't see how you can IR him because Jimmy is also currently dealing with injuries and getting Greg Olsen down the stretch would help if Jimmy were to miss time later in the season (which is a possibility for a man his size)

Are there any decent TE options on the waiver?

I don't think Olsen (coming back form injury) over Graham will be the difference for you in the fantasy playoffs. I'd move him to IR for the cap space if there was someone I liked on waivers. You do need another TE on your roster for the coming weeks regardless of what you do with Olsen

Not sure your team is a playoff team right now. I'd rather get as many assets as possible and look to rebound next year with a healthy DJ and Olsen.

Thanks for all the help. I'm borderline playoff team with these injuries. I'm also thinking that if I don't IR DJ or Olsen (I can't IR DJ anymore, as that time has past) I could potentially trade them to a playoff team for draft picks. Once I IR either of them they are out for the season.
