Rivers and '18 3rd for Eli and '18 late 1st - good right?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rivers and '18 3rd for Eli and '18 late 1st - good right?

Postby iron » Tue Sep 19, 2017 6:44 pm

Team 1 below. I figured that there was not much difference between them over the entire season. Rivers was my backup to Brees and I am 3-0 (doubleheader). Made playoffs 2 years in a row. I probably need to upgrade my flex though (D,Henry/Gore/Kamara). Might use the 1st rounder to grab a stud. Right move so far, right? Any suggestions on who to target with the newly acquired first?

I'd make that trade I have the difference between Eli and Rivers as negligible, especially as a backup QB.

Also slightly unrelated but is your WW so poor that it warrants you holding onto 3 literal NFL backup QBs in a 1 QB league? I would happily cut moore/Dobbs/gabbert for just about anybody.

Slack- 16 team league with IDP & up to 75 roster spots with salary cap, so yes, WW is bare so no harm in keeping deep sleepers in case of injuries...

I can see an argument being made that Manning is a big downgrade this year and with QBs, and with your eyes focused on a championship you wouldn't want to turn to Eli if there's a Brees injury. Additionally a 16 team league increases QBs value. However I think the 1st is too good to pass.

Best piece of this is the 1st given that Rivers and Eli are probably going to head out of the league about the same time.
