DJ for Bell?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

DJ for Bell?

Postby jnappy » Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:40 am

Team 1 in sig. I recently traded four 2018 1sts for DJ, and now the Bell owner is trying to get less PP to get a better 2018 pick, so he's interested in trading his Bell for my DJ straight up. I feel like this would make me by far the best team in the league, but Bell ironically still has more risk than DJ somehow to me. I need to win now though right? What do you guys think?

I love DJ, but if you are going to win this year I'd probably do the trade.

I do agree that long term I think DJ is more solid than Bell. After this year we don't know where Bell ends up in free agency, and if he goes somewhere with a bad offense or terrible line he might seem a little more human. Arizona is of course terrible but at least we know DJ will get like every single tough.

That said, winning is everything

Easy accept. It's a lateral move if they're both healthy and a huge win with DJ out.

Do the trade. But only because you play 2017. Post season I think I rather own Bell by an inch

What if it was AB instead of Bell? Would I need him to add to his side, or is that a fair deal straight up?

You have shallow starting requirements. Make the trade and your team will be a contender this year

Bell V DJ is really a preference call to me. With DJ being out for the relevant portion of this year I think the value edge has to be with Bell

I have to go with Bell here as well. You'll at least get to use him this season. People worry about Bell's situation moving forward, especially if he leaves Pittsburgh, but what about DJ's? After Palmer and Fitz are gone, then what? Bell has a bit more suspension risk and has more of an injury history, but I don't see it as that much more risk. And, as crazy as it seems to me, they're still about the same age.
