This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Russ Wilson 2QB value

Postby The Dpete » Mon Sep 18, 2017 3:24 pm

Not feeling very confident in Russ any more and tossing around trade ideas.

Goff owner looks like a potential partner. Notable add-ons to trade include Ajayi, Watkins, or 2018 picks.

D. Watson owner also a possibility. He is loaded at WR with Julio, Amari, Mike Evans, AJ Green, and Allen Robinson, so a package of Watson + one of those WRs might be possible.

I'm trying to avoid being greedy, so I need help putting together offers. Also willing to listen to people trying to coax me back into believing in Russ... just feel like short term these youngsters will put up similar numbers.

If you're going to trade Wilson in a 2QB league, you better be getting a better QB in return than Goff or Watson.

that said, watkins is equally starting slow...i suppose you could try to get him included in a deal.(i still believe)..but as i said, i would wait for a big game

Wilson's worst seasons will be comparable to Goff's typical seasons. Same with Watson. They're not even in the same ballpark. In a 2QB league, Ajayi, Watkins, and 2018 picks do nothing to close the gap.

If you're going to sell Wilson, you'll get 90% of his value now since owners would look at this -- rightly -- as a buy-low opportunity. Wait until he rebounds or accept the discount if you must. But, Goff or Watson + Ajayi or Watkins or a 2018 pick is WAY undervalued.

Watson + one of the elite WRs is a better starting point (not Robinson). My hunch, though, is that you'll regret moving him very soon. Wilson is gold in a 2QB league, and pairing him with Luck gives you a sick advantage from 2018-2025 -- at least. That's nearly insurmountable in most cases, especially when you start as few players as you do.

I disagree with the above comments.

If you can get Goff+Ajayi or Goff+Watkins for Wilson I'd be all over that
