Worth going after Jordan Howard?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Worth going after Jordan Howard?

Postby Rams Fan » Sun Sep 17, 2017 9:35 pm

For Team 2:

Guy in our league just put him up on the block. He is currently on a 3 year contract. Based on my team should I make a push? He is looking for QB and WR. Thinking maybe Lockett and a pick but not sure.

Thanks

Lockett and a pick isn't landing you Jordan Howard.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

It's for Team 2. Fair enough that Lockett is not anywhere close. Point is I guess is giving up peices for his needed price worth it?

I see Jordan as a one year wonder. Cohen is already eating into his production. Game scripts will not be in his favor due to Chicago being a horrible team and in catch up mode. Not worth it imo.

And how exactly were game scripts in Howard's favor last year when Chicago was also a horrible team in catch up mode?

Chicago might be a bad team overall but they have a great oline and I suspect Trubisky will bring a bit more balance to the team once he's given the job, which will open up running lanes for howard

Once Chicago realizes that Glennon is complete crap and Trubisky should have been starting the season opener, things will be improved despite the lack of receiving weapons. Right now is a good opportunity to buy Howard from owners panicking about his lack of production this week or the early season anomaly of Cohen.

Good point. We all know how often the Bears took a huge lead last season with their amazing offense.

I don't think you have enough depth at WR to make a move for Howard and you're actually fine at RB. I'm all for getting players at a discount when owner's panic, but just doesn't make sense for your team right now.
