What to do with Lamar Miller? Value Moving Foward

Postby brooklynkid » Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:41 am

So i have Lamar Miller in 4/7 leagues and I'm wondering what I should do with him. Now every situation and team is different but what's his value moving forward with Texans trying to get Foreman more involved. What type of players would you target?

Foreman looked a lot better than Miller Thursday night imo. I'd be trying to move Miller to an RB needy team/contender for a WR2/RB2 and picks. Or package him with something else to upgrade to an RB1.

I own piece of him as well as Foreman. I'm not sure there will be a lot of takers out there, he's trending down and Foreman is trending up. I think O'Brien will try to hide the QB as much as he can, so there are still plenty of touches for Lamar, but if he's to be moved I'd bet it needs to be quickly! To me it looks more like he's the add on to upgrade at another position.

Anyone notice how much Foreman was involved in pass protection? Didn't look like much. Miller will be fine for this year and, like I've stated on other posts, he's cap hit is relatively low next year should they decide to move on; then he'll be starting somewhere else.

move him asap before his value is totally gone. hated him going into the season and was shocked that this transition is happening this quickly. After Foreman got only 2 snaps weeks 1 it was really interesting to see Foreman getting lots of work and early and often in week 2

LoL at Miller. He could have been sold for multiples firsts, last year preseason, last year during the season and this year during preseason. Now you might get a 2nd.

His value is dropping rapidly, but he still holds some value. I'm a known Miller hater, but like you said each team is in a different situation. What do you have to replace him? If he gets passing downs he has more value in a ppr league. Basically if you have rb depth I'd try and move him. I'd hope for a 2nd at this point.

Stuck with him. He is RB2 land and if he pops for a game you sell. Everybody with a brain sees what is happening.

I would have never invested in him for much (he was second round pick for me behind Bush years ago). He is what he is and he will get touches but he is not worth much at all.

X2. Miller looked good at times, but I thought Foreman was more explosive.

I just sold him and Kelce for David Johnson this morning and couldn't be more ecstatic.

Lol it sounds like I'm in trouble in one League where he's my RB1 I have receiver depth though might have to move him and WR to Upgrade RB1

I think this assessment is dead on and you can add pass catching situations to this. He will still have mid-RB2 volume and production this year and thats what he should be worth. I personally feel that is worth something to a contender. Agree with another poster, try to assess his value with contenders after he has a good game. Hopefully for both of our sakes he will have one soon!

He has had 1 great game as a Texan, two that were objectively good, and a bunch of games that don't make anyone want to buy for what an owner would want in return. That offense is bad, and he doesn't make it any better. To me, he's in a similar situation to Gurley but with less ability. If you can score a first, that's a steal at this point, but I wouldn't hold out for anything more than that.

Miller is still the man in Hou. Foreman couldn't get a 1st down on 2 3rd and 1's..

Idk why people are panicking he is off to a rough start but still getting 20 touches a game and on pace for 1460 total yards and 40 catches , Yeah Foreman went from 2 to 12 touches but Miller went from 19 to 21 touches so I think he keeps getting his touches and once the offence starts clicking teams won't stack the box as much the whole offence is hurt right now.

Even if Houston moves on from Miller in the offseason, he's still productive and young enough to land a starting job elsewhere. He's never been flashy enough to draw a lot of hype, but he's still capable of RB1 production this season.
