Lewis or Burkhead at the end of your bench?

Postby Avery » Thu Sep 07, 2017 1:00 pm

I currently have Lewis on "Team 2" below and thinking about swapping him for Burkhead.

I think Lewis will flash here and there but, especially given his age, the reliable upside is limited while Burkhead is still young enough and may be more versitile?

Would love your thoughts on this. Thanks!

probably Burkhead. I love Dion (H2P) but he cannot stay healthy.

Actually Burkhead is 82 days older than Lewis but less experienced. While he is more versatile, he's still a NE RB. One of four. Pick your poison. I'm just not a big fan of playing that guessing game. :wall:

Gimme Burkhead for this year. Personally, with Lewis being a unrestricted FA next year and what he's shown at this level, I'll take him long term. I think you could use some WR depth to really make a run this year, so I might go Lewis for your team.
1: 12 team, .5PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 W/R/T
QB: Dak, Mayfield // RB: Mixon, Taylor, Akers, Gibson, McKinnon, Peterson, McFarland, Penny, Gio, Dallas, D. Williams // WR: Evans, Sutton, Chark, McLaurin, Boyd, Diontae, J. Jefferson, M. Williams, Crowder, Washington // TE: Goedert, OJH, Cox, Akins, Dissly

2: 12 team PPR, 6pt all TDs, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 W/R/T
QB: Watson, Minshew // RB: Saquon, Zeke, Cook, Drake, Mostert, McKinnon, Mattison, Pollard, Vaughn, Boston Scott, Ito // WR: Hopkins, Adams, Evans, Boyd, Diontae, Kirk, Lazard // TE: Hurst, Graham, Akins

3: 12 team SF, .5PPR, 6pt all TDs, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 W/R/T, 1 Q/W/R/T

Huh. Interesting about their age. maybe because he's been hurt, but it seems Lewis has been around forever.

Based on last night.... doesn't seem to matter! I would say I think Lewis is much better with higher upside long term.. White will be doing all the pass-catching, Gillislee will be doing the Blount role.. but if White gets injured/anything happens there.. Lewis is still startlingly quick with sure hands, and know the offense better.
Just my opinion....

Idk if you made the decision but I'd roll with burkhead.

Did Lewis even get an offensive touch? Burk got some carries between the 20s and if Gil goes down hes probably next in line for goal line carries. But it's the pats backfield, if you're looking for any sort of consistency then White is your safest bet week to week. But they are all pretty bad bets with bellicheck induced low ceilings.

You are waiting for an injury for either one to be viable. In a PPR, Lewis is the better play.

Burkhead did respectful last night... 3 carrires... 4.7 avg... 1 reception.. 8 yards. He sees like he could have versatility and next in line behind Gillislee.
