Did the Unthinkable! Took Home AJ+Mixon

I haven't been a big fan of Mixon on here known by a few probably lol, but really needed a rb and exhausted every last resource around the league trying to get anybody good and it was overpay central by far..I guess MIxon love, press, play and other factors starting pushing me somewhat in his favor over other options I was gonna pay bunch more to acquire.

Well Finally worked a deal with a solid trade partner in my league giving up Amari + D Parker + 2018 projected late 1st for Mixon + AJ Green + 2018 projected mid 2nd

How do you think I did..Rbs are very very hard to get here. League is ppr

Could post my team to give some more pieces to puzzle, but I have Gurley,Henry, Crow as my main rbs before that
and my wrs were Amari, Nuk, Cooks, Baldwin, Parker, Keenan, Benjamin, Watkins

Well, I get leagues where RB is beyond gold, so this is pretty good. It's sort of even for this year unless Mixon gets a bigger workload. Strange how bored people are with AJG.

I'm not high on either Mixon or AJG. Based on how much I like them I'd say it's a little bit higher than an even swap.

Taking into account your apparent RB gold league and how most people view the players, I say you got a solid deal!

as for the question....
i still like AJG...not sure how i feel about mixon...but i understand your pain about RB gold (see league 1 below) so i think you did pretty well in the end (i am also lower on cooper than most)

Huh? A nice preseason and a few compliments from Culter and we're already elevating Parker to the value of a top 2-3 rookie pick? He wasn't even going that high in his own rookie class, before posting two disappointing seasons. I like Parker as a breakout candidate as much as the next guy, but Mixon is sill worth more. I'd say the picks even it out nicely and I agree that AJ and Cooper are a wash. Fair trade and fills a team need. I'd say it was a solid deal for the OP.

I'm a big AJG fan and think he has quite a few years left of high level production.

First, the title of this post is annoying because you make it sound like it's an amazing trade to your side. It isn't. In fact I think you lost the trade.

I would rate Amari Cooper > AJ Green for purposes of dynasty (maybe not this year)
And I would rather have Parker and a 2018 first round pick over Mixon and a second. While you can't doubt Mixon's talent, you can, however, doubt his character.

Besides in dynasty I will always take a wide receiver with high upside and a first round pick, over an unproven woman-beating running back any day of the week.

ie., you didnt do the unthinkable. You mere swapped pieces for, at best, an even trade and one that probably grades against you if you look at the intangibles.

But Thanks for the other responses! Feel like based on value Id still might take cooper side, but trying to go for it this year and aj should outproduce cooper for the near future and mixon provides a highly valuable shot at a desperately needed/overvalued position

Based on what you need/want for your team, i like you're side in this. I do feel good about Cooper's upside long term, but AJG is a stud with several years of production left and Mixon is arguably the most physically gifted RB in this class. Looks a lot like DJ on film when he has opportunity. Parker is poised for a breakout year, but his production is all going to be based on what MIA does with their QB situation. Tanny is owed a lot of money, coming off a knee injury, and simply can't push the ball downfield like Cutler will (don't forget, he's just a converted WR).

All in all, good pull by you. Big fan of making moves for building your team the way you want it.

Thx, very hesitant to trade a stud like cooper, but Im getting tired of having value studs and not having the pieces to make the real title run..Some powerhouse teams in my league that change things so have to get heavy production out all players and leave no position weak to have a chance at competing
