Lamar Miller - any more upside?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lamar Miller - any more upside?

Postby smallxl » Wed Aug 30, 2017 4:54 am

What is the consensus on this guy? has he hit his peak or does he have a higher ceiling? O-line is a little better this year and the team does like to run the ball.

For the team below, I'm light on RB and got an offer of my Diggs for Miller. He said he would add a veteran WR to the deal like Britt, Kendall Wright or John Brown.....
22-man, 12-team, 1 pt-PPR; Start 1-2RB; 3-4 WR; 1-2 TE

TEAM 1
QB: Prescott, Foles
RB: Barkley, P Barber, Duke, Gio Bernard, Gus, C Thompson, Breida, Ekeler
WR: A Cooper, Cooks, Lockett, C. Davis, Crowder, Chark, Stills
TE: OJ Howard

Id rather have Diggs then Miller and it would take more then any of those WRs listed to part with Diggs for Miller. That said I still think Miller has game left in him with less of a work load he may produce better. He always did well in Miami with little work.

Id do Tate for Miller

I have him in a salary league at a high price. I am going to wait on him and see how he does. It depends on needs, if you need a rb he has some upside, if you can get a Diggs I would move him. Good luck!

Since this is a PPR league and you only have to start 1 RB, I'd hold Diggs, though it's not a bad offer with Britt or Brown also coming back to you. I do think Miller ends the year as a back-end RB1.

Keep Diggs in a league where you only have to start 1 running back. He has a lot more upside then Miller

With your league requirements I would easily pass. I'm a known Miller hater and think he will lose carries to Foreman. If you really want another rb I'd look for someone with more upside than Miller.

I still think he's a talented player, and only 26. As a Miller owner, I'm holding in hopes the value goes up, but if I'm trying to buy Miller it's at a discount. Pass for Diggs.

Full disclosure, I don't fully understand the hype on Diggs and am a Miller owner. I'd take the Miller + Brown side all day. Even in what was considered an underwhelming year for Miller, he still ended in most formats as a mid RB2. Their QB and line play should be slightly improved and he will still get the lion's share of every down work. I look at this as a good buy low for Lamar, you can play him immediately or have a RB1/RB2 as insurance should anything happen to DJ.

If you have a need for RB, I do not see Miller + Brown as a bad return for Diggs, at all. In fact, I would prefer it.

I think Diggs for Miller is a fair offer, but I'd keep Diggs as well.

I think he peaked last year. He won't see that high a workload again. He won't fall of the peak by any means, but a slow and steady (still productive) down the next 3 years are what I see

I would keep Diggs. especially with your roster and lineup settings. You can afford to be weak at RB when you only have to start 1 rb and that RB you have is David freaking Johnson

Also, your 4WRs to start look very nice
Team 1- 10 team ppr, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flx, 1D, 1K
