Looking to acquire DJ

Postby WP3 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:45 pm

Looking at offering AJ Green, H. Henry, and late 2018 1st for DJ. Is this too much value for DJ? I want to have the elite backs bc they win leagues in non ppr. Or do I have enough with zeke and Mixon plus the stable of dart throws behind them. Thanks for input on what to do considering my roster and league requirements
12 team, non ppr, 1 Qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1 TE, 2 flex (rb/wr/te), 1 Def, 22 roster spots

QB: Wentz, Big Ben, Winston
RB: Zeke, Cook, Chubb, Fournette, Pollard, Mattison, Damien Harris, Armstead
WR: Hopkins, OBJ, Evans, MVS, JJAW, Trequan Smith, Reynolds
TE: Ertz, Herndon
Def: Steelers, Browns

2020 picks: 1.7, 3.4

I think that's an overpay. You should be fine with Zeke and Mixon moving forward. It might be a rough start to the year, but your situation should improve dramatically by mid-season.

There's another thread where people think Hopkins, CMC, and a 1st isn't enough for DJ and I think that offer is much stronger than this one. However, I think the Hopkins offer would be an overpay and this offer seems a lot more fair.

Honestly, that doesn't feel like an overpay. AJG is elite but pushing 30 now. Henry has upside for days but isn't a proven commodity. A late 1st has a high boom/bust factor. Plus, the DJ owner likely has to drop an extra piece to open up the additional roster space.

DJ and Le'V are on a level we rarely see from RBs right now. DJ side and not close for me as a DJ owner.

No, I'm with you. I wouldn't move him for this offer either. But I also agree with Goddard that this offer is probably more "fair" than the Hopkins/CMC proposal. With the wealth of productive WR's currently in the league, most teams feel they can get by with what they have. The same just can't be said at RB.

Maybe after this year's crop, and what is projected to be a strong class in 2018 the landscape will shift a bit. But right now there aren't a lot of owners selling DJ/Bell/Zeke unless they're getting an incredible haul. This to me is not that.

I doubt the DJ owner would accept this.

Fair offer as others have said, but I think you'll have to toss in another piece or two to get it done. But even then it would only work if the other team doesn't have much depth.
10 team SF .5ppr-QB,2RB,3WR,TE,Flex,SF,Def (30 spots)
QB: Allen, AR, Brissett
RB: Mixon,Barkley,Rhamondre,Foreman

2024 picks: 3 2nds
2025 picks: 3 2nds

Yeah, I think it's missing a Tevon Coleman type. Even then, DJ is a flat out monster, hard to justify moving a guy like that.
