Chris Carson worth rostering for my squad?

My team is below in sig. I know it's preseason, but he looks explosive and solid in pass pro. I'm not sold on Lacy or Rawls surviving the season. I think Prosise is locked in as the 3rd down back, but Pete Carroll seems to be all about competition. Is there any way you guys could envision Carson out-producing Lacy & Rawls? Should I take a shot in my dynasty and roster him? If so, who should i drop? Trubisky? Hill?

Dixon is in one of my IR spots, so dropping him won't free up any space to then roster Carson.

Can't drop Dixon and add him. Dixon is in an IR spot. Dropping him doesn't open up a spot for carson. I'd have to drop someone else.
I've shopped Cooks, Parker, and Moncrief, but nobody bit at all. I've been trying to move them since may without any interest. My league worships RBs, not WRs for some reason.

I think you could spare Trubisky, Dixon, McFadden, and Ross. Carson should absolutely be rostered over any of those guys. He has a real legitimate chance to being big time. PC has said it's important to get back to what they did... forceful running and dominant defense. And he is in love with Carson... who has been doing everything right to this point while Rawls and Lacy have not done anything. He once shipped C. Mike, Turbin, out for an UDFA... So roster him. I'd rather have Buck Allen than Dixon, Buck can really make a massive leap this year and has been having the exact opposite from last year in camp, they've had nothing but compliments and he's outperformed in preseason. Especially if you're in a PPR.

I think you've got time to slow-play this. But it's risky.

Week 3 health permitting you'll likely see Lacy/Rawls/Prosise until the early third quarter. Then you'll see Carson/Collins/Davis, etc the rest of the way. In the final preseason game I think Collins will be on the field quite a bit because he'll be fighting for his roster spot. Carson has already jumped him on the depth chart. I personally don't believe he makes the team, but they'll want to give him every shot to prove he deserves his place.

I think Carson makes the 53, but doesn't play much behind Lacy/Rawls/Prosise. After Zeke's suspension ends (however long that is) you can dump McFadden and add Carson since the buzz will have died down some. This assumes no other Seattle fans in your league though.

If you have to act now, the only player I could consider dropping for Carson is Jeremy Hill (since Dixon doesn't open a spot). But that seems a little weird to say. While Hill's arrow is pointing downward with the addition of Mixon, has he really fallen that far? I see the appeal, but would have a hard time clicking "OK" to process that transaction.
