Stud WR for youth, what to offer?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Stud WR for youth, what to offer?

Postby saw061600 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 8:11 am

Sent a few preliminary emails out to owners (team not in sig) with stud WRs that also looked like they were likely entering rebuild mode. The email basically asked if they'd be interested in moving a stud for a consolidation of youth (WRs).

2 got back to me. Dez owner said to send something over. Julio owner said he'd look at my roster later. So they're both interested.

Now I'm not trying to fleece anyone but, at the same time, if they're interested in getting younger figure I should try to make a deal. So what package of youth should I be offering for Dez, the cheaper of the 2 options, in the context of what's already been discussed. (Ross, Shepard, and at least 1 more?)

My roster has depth but looking for the stud: Britt, Ross, Shepard, Thielen, Stills, RMatthews, Cobb, Maclin, Golladay, Wallace, Britt, Boldin, and TGabriel. Bunch of @175-200 point guys last year. Also have all my picks for 2018.

Also have RBs: Freeman, Shady/Williams, Hyde, CJA, Prosise but didn't mention them in discussions.

I don't think you'll be getting Dez much less Julio for any of those WRs. Pretty brutal if you ask me...

I'd want Freeman if I was either owner. Don't see it happening - and I wouldn't expect a response back if your offer is Ross+shepherd+ something.

As a Dez owner I'd just let the offer expire or ask for freeman.

I know but Dez owner did say to send something over after looking so he's either way down on Dez, looking to get pieces, it maybe bit of both to get rebuild started.

Hard to say... Ross, Golladay & Hyde maybe? At the very least you have to include your two most promising young WR's. Still may have to throw in a quality 2018 pick for insurance in case those two stink.. I'm not sure you have enough capital for Julio. You'd have to include Freeman at that point.

Good luck!

I don't think all those WRs combined would get you either. You can try adding one of the RBs, but outside of Freeman, I'd doubt they'd be interested if they're rebuilding.

since he is interested, i would not start with your best offer...

you could always ask him what he wants for dez. perhaps he will send you an offer, or (if he is like me) he will tell you to send something first..i would probably start with ross, shepard and golladay..

what does his roster look like, perhaps (if he is going to drop some players to make the trade) you could mine some sneaky throw-ins
good luck...
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
