Brady Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Brady Trade

Postby crashdkw » Fri Aug 18, 2017 7:11 am

The top guy in my league really wants Tom Brady, to solidify his run this year.

He's given me a few not so good offers, but the last two I've gotten are:

He gives Big Ben, Tevin Coleman (my freeman handcuff) for Brady

He gives Big Ben, Tevin Coleman, Montcrief, 2018 Round 1 pick (will definitely be pick 9 or 10), I give Brady and Arob.

What do ya'll think?

Do you feel you can compete this year? If not, tell him you dont want Ben and replace that with a more upside player. I love getting Tevin (even if you didnt own Freeman). What other pieces does he have? The second offer is an easy pass for me but I am of the opinion that Moncrief isnt going to ever live up to the hype. The first offer probably isnt too bad in a dyansty but what else does he have to swap out Ben?

Do trade 1. Tevin is easily the best piece here.

I agree but if the other team is a contender, I bet he can swap out Ben for a more upside player or future pick. If not, he can always fall back to that. Unless of course he thinks he can compete with Ben this year...if so, then take it.

I am also not a fan of Montcrief. I don't think I am a competitor unless I can get a solid wr2 and Arob returns to form, and realistically unless this guy gets plagued by injuries he's probably winning it all again this year.
His roster is pretty stacked David Johnson, Shady, Blount, Coleman, dixon. TY, Julio, Martavis, Crowder, Hopkins, Tate.

I have zero interest in Ben, he has Cutler who I'd take for a back up to Rivers and Mariota since I have Mahommes in my Taxi.
Maybe counter He gives Cutler, Coleman, 2018 first for Brady, or see if I can squeeze Crowder out of him?

Ben's talking about retirement, how many years does he have left, 1, 2, maybe 3? Brady's old as dirt, how many years he have left, 1, 2, maybe 3? Ben's supporting cast >>>> Brady's. Coleman's best piece in offer...Do the deal.

If you could get Coleman and what is likely the #12 pick in the 2018 draft for Brady, thats a quick accept. If he declines that, I would probably just go back to Ben and Tevin for Brady and be thrilled to get Tevin. Im not a Cutler guy. I dont think you can squeeze Crowder out of him also either...you could always ask though...but I would probably limit your reply to Tevin and a 1st or Tevin and Crowder....as I type that though, I dont really see him taking it...he would have to be certain and hell bent on repeating.

The first offer isn't terrible, but I'd try to get a little more.

I think the first one is good but if you can get someone other than Ben it could be better.

Ben isn't going to help you. I like Coleman. I would try to replace Ben with a pick and do that. No to trade 2

I wouldn't touch the second offer. That's an easy decline. The first offer I would try to get a better piece than Big Ben but it's a pretty fair offer for Brady.

To echo several others, the first offer is fair, but just not the pieces I would want. You don't need Big Ben even if you get rid of Brady. Try to target other players/draft picks

Go talk to other contenders and see what they might be able to give you. I guarantee you someone will give you something good for him. Worst case come back and take the 1st offer here or maybe get it changed to Coleman and a 2nd for Brady instead.
