For Team #2 in my signature. I was very shallow in the depth department and had a lot of picks that were traded. Here is a the synopsis of what became of all my trades. I realize some trades i lost, some i maybe won. But last year injuries with no depth lost it for me.
We start 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 Flex (WR,RB,TE)
All in all, what do you guys think on how i came out?
Synopsis:
I gave: Eddie Lacy, Dion Lewis, AJG, 2019 1st, 2018 3rd
I got: Ty Montgomery, Doug Martin, Marlon Mack, Hunter Henry, Demarious Thomas
i had no depth at RB behind DJ & Gurley. That was my goal to make my team more rounded.

I'm not a fan of the RBs you got in return. I think Lacy outscores all of them this year. I like Henry and DT, but not for AJG and a 1st. Some may disagree, but at best you pushed in terms of value.

Re: 4 Large trades, thoughts on end product?
In my league, people treat RBs like they walk on water, even with all of the pro-WR content from our fellow members of this fine forum. So, I can definitely understand the desire for quality depth at that position.
I also don't think you were likely correct in assessing the needs of your roster and making moves accordingly. If anything happened to one of your top two guys, you'd be in trouble. I don't think you could rely on Lacy to be a decent backup, just like I don't think you could rely on Gurley to be a stud (cuz the Rams), so if you plan to contend, you had to do something.
At first, I thought you gave up a bit more than you got back, but the more I look at it, I think it's fine. AJ Green is the best player in the deal, but he's 29 and the Bengals spent their first TWO picks in the draft on other offensive weapons, and they already had a lot of mouths to feed on offense. DT is an underrated guy who is primed for a bounce-back season with his former OC back from his hiatus in San Diego. Montgomery and Martin are the type of solid vets that can really push you into a title. Henry is also a solid prospect in case Gronk is unavailable, which is a real possibility. And if all this makes you a contender, you'll be giving up a late first, which isn't a sure bet anyways.
Not the sexiest moves ever, but probably the kind of gritty under-the-radar thing that could make a very subtle difference come playoff time.

Re: 4 Large trades, thoughts on end product?
I think you made a small net gain in the end run. I wouldn't call it substantial, but not negligible either. However, with such small starting lineups i would have either held AJ, or tried to get less pieces as opposed to one or two elite pieces. Studs are more important than depth when starting lineups are small.
