Gathers Trade= Who wins?

Postby Bradycross888 » Tue Aug 15, 2017 7:31 pm

Traded a 2019 third away for Gathers.

Currently in rebuild mode, guy I traded with is a contender this year. Fair?

I'd probably say it's about even value. I don't know much about the 2019 draft class but in the average draft a 3rd rounder is a shot in the dark as far as value which is what I think gathers is although I do still like gathers

I would go with Gathers because you now have 2 years of evaluation on Gathers until that pick can be used.

I'd take the 3rd. I just have a feeling that Gathers is more of a preseason darling than the next in line. A 3rd isn't much to give up if you are bullish though as it will be guys like Shaheen anyway.

Yep. Agree with this. If TE typically takes a few years, you'll have a full fledged player instead of waiting on a rookie by the time the pick comes around.

Gathers. A 2019 3rd is pretty worthless right now and will most likely be worthless in 2019. Gathers may not work out either, but worth the risk.
