i was thinking about offering robinson and moncrief for obj...but that would certainly deplete my WR depth...should i try to make a trade like this, or just hang onto my players...

flex: crowell, watkins, moncrief (need 2)

so if i make the trade the flex of crowell and watkins would stay the same but it would leave me with stewart and some TEs as the flex depth

There are very few generational players and OBJ is one. I respect the debate of dynasty assets at the top but to me OBJ is in a league of his own. If for no other reason than he is such a fun player to own. You have the depth to get him and I have no issue with the trade you propose. The OBJ owner may want more especially since you have a few other studs on your roster. This is the type of trade where I would engage the guy (or girl) in talks and float the idea of him moving OBJ. See what he is looking to do with his team and what he wants on yours.

i am the OP, but thanks for the clarification...i don't deny that if any player is worth that, it would be OBJ....but i don't know who would be able to afford that price..

and after thinking about it, if i had any other depth at all, i would consider offering arob, moncrief and crowell...but i don't think i could afford the depth...one injury would crush me..

You're probably looking at Freeman and Watkins/Arob to even get him to consider. His team clearly needs RBs and he would likely want another solid WR in return.

I like the idea of adding OBJ, but it would take a lot to acquire him. Too me three things help you win in fantasy, 1- luck, 2- studs and 3- depth. You have 2 of 3, keep it.

I think you should hold but I didn't look at the net projected gain/loss at the pieces. I think Freeman would have to be included to make it happen. He has believers and detractors and if the other owner is a believer, maybe you get off a bit cheaper.
