Either/or now that rookie fever has subsided (mostly)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Either/or now that rookie fever has subsided (mostly)

Postby Generic Username » Thu Aug 10, 2017 4:46 am

At least I think the fever has been controlled, now that we're looking at actual players vs draft spots. Anywho:

K Allen and C Davis. Dynasty rankings are almost uniformly next to each other as far as I can tell. Both have potential, just one's a rookie and the other had some good showings only to be cut short by injury. I admit to having a soft spot for Allen and that'll cloud my judgement some, but I like the "look" of Davis coupled with what TENN is doing as a franchise.

Call the deal straight up, who you taking?

I'll take my chances with C Davis.

If not on a championship run this year, I would take CD... tricky with KA long term as he is good, but sometimes injuried and with a lot of strong players in that offense

Personally, I'd take Davis. I think Keenan will probably have a better year than Davis, but I love his future with Mariota.

I tried hard to get Davis, but couldn't get the deal done. I wouldn't be trying as hard to get Keenan.

Both of their values can only go up, but Davis has a very good young qb.

Piling on for Davis. Has a bright future with a good, young QB. They're going to be together for awhile.

This. If I felt I was a WR short of a championship, I'd take Allen. Barring that, I'd go Davis.

KA. Until Davis shows something in NFL games, I'm going with the proven, albeit injury plagued, player.

I'd characterize this team as wild-card playoff caliber...has good pieces, but no depth. A deep run would require a lot going right each week. Oh, I also have Mariota on this team. So my already mentioned soft spot for Keenan is competing with my penchant to pair QBs w/ their #1

Same. I like Davis but I like the player who has done it and is not in an offence who wants to run the ball as much as Tennessee does. The Keenan injuries scare me but if healthy I like him more. Injuries can happen to anyone. Keenan could never miss another game, it's all relative.

It's pretty fair and I'd say the current value is on CD's side, but I'd rather have Allen.
