New Deal in the works: Parker for 1.7 and 2.3

Postby AlbertaPrime » Wed Aug 09, 2017 4:37 pm

I had a thread opened earlier, and figured I'd get a new one going as the deal has gone from Docton and 1.7 for Parker and 1.11 to just Parker for my 1.7 and 2.3. I'd be crazy not to take this right? I've got 1.5, so I'm not giving up ton with 1.7, and I've also got 2.6 as well.

I would think your 1.07 would be enough for Parker. Adding 2.03 is a little much unless he throws back his second.

I agree, 1.07 is more than fair for Parker.

Agreed. I'd probably hold off on trading the 1.7 straight up for Parker, because I'm not much of a fan, but that would be a fair offer.

Certainly wouldn't do it if it also took the 2.3.

Move that 2 . 03 to the 2.05 and I would do it.

Parker is going to take a leap this year I think

I'd prob take that deal if you're high on Parker like I am. By the time 2.03 comes around, it's often just a hopeful guy you're getting unless you really luck out and someone falls. That someone still has to become something (not that Parker doesn't still have a lot to prove). Again, you'd have to be high on Parker though as it's prob a bit of an overpay. Trying to get a little something thrown in on his side would be wise.

I would give that for Parker, but try it with the 2.05 first.

Deal is done. Ended up being my 1.7 and 2.3 for his Parker and 2018 2nd.

Happy. Got my guy, and still got to keep 1.5 and Doctson (other owner originally wanted Doctson in the deal). My wr core now includes: ARob, Keenan, Parker, Docton, JMatt and potentially Corey Davis who might end up to me at 1.5.

Thanks for the help, y'all.

I'm not sold on Parker, but as an owner, I'm not sure I'd be selling him for 1.7 right now. I would probably prefer Parker to Mike Williams at this point so it would likely take 1.5. I think his opportunity and potential are currently pretty high. Issues with Landry and the fact that he may hit free agency next spring should also elevate Parker. Cutler's propensity to throw it deep doesn't hurt either.

If you're getting him for 1.7+, I would consider that a win.
