Over Pay for Cooks

Hey guys, for team 1 in my signature, I am trying to acquire Cooks, but apparently what I am offering is not enough.

I was offering Jarvis Landry, Doug Martin, Jacquizz Rodgers, Cameron Brate, and (his choice of Chester Rogers or Kendall Wright) for just Brandin Cooks.

I think both Landry & Cooks are WR2s, but Cooks is trending up, with potential to be a WR1, and Landry is trending down as of now.

What would you guys offer for Cooks?

I have already tried Landry & Ingram, Landry & Blount/Smallwood, all were not enough.

Is there anything else I can afford to give up to get Cooks?

I am ok with Over Paying, but I don't want to completely ruin my depth either.

I have it offered now, he rejected originally without Rogers or Wright, I'm going to assume neither will do much for him..

Ah I see. Most I'd include would be a 2nd if you are a contender. If he won't take that then walk away and revisit it later.

Cooks has been a WR1 each of the last two seasons. He's not a WR2.

If you can get Cooks for Landry and essentially filler, then you should do it.

-Martin is unreliable.
-Rodgers is a short-term fantasy prize.
-Brate will be useless long-term.
-Rogers or Wright doesn't matter.

I believe Martin & Quizz (whoever starts) will put up RB2 numbers though.. And yes long-term Brate isn't much value, but he was a top 7 TE last season..

I'd just keep Landry. I don't see a big difference in value between him and Cooks, and wouldn't overpay to get him.

I'd take that offer. Martin's value is going to increase but your really aren't giving up a whole lot to get your guy. It's pretty fair

Doesn't that ruin my WR and RB depth, though?
I mean I guess it's somewhat fair, but I feel like Garcon should be worth more than a throw in.. He's currently my WR3 or WR4..

Sorry to double post, but a few days ago, he did offer Landry/Ingram/Martin/Garcon which I feel is way too much..

This is an easy accept if you're a cooks fan. He's a slight upgrade on Landry, but Martin's end is rapidly approaching. Ingram is a nice assett but gotta give to get. Garçon is easy to replace with all the passing stats going around.

can you get it done without garcon?
counter with landry, ingram, martin and quizz or perhaps
counter with landry, perriman (or marvin), martin and quizz

sometimes (often), you have to give up depth to get your guy...good luck...

You ever watch the movie draft day. "You just threw away our future sonny" hahaha.

I think getting cooks is good but man your in such a. weird spot i don't even know if that move is great. Part of you should try to win now and part of you should try like crazy to get some picks back because your team likely isn't the favorite just by looking at the sig1 roster
