I've pondered this as well. Foreman is much more talented than Williams. Then that got me to thinking... Back when Miller was in Miami and was in a RBBC, he actually put up better overall numbers than he did last year. So, in a weird way, I wonder if having a legit RB to help Miller carry the load will actually make him more productive? I mean check this out:

2014: 216 carries, 1099 yards, 38 catches, 275 yards (1374 total yards), and 9 total TDs.

2015: 194 carries, 872 yards, 47 catches, 397 yards (1269 total yards), and 10 total TDs.

2016: 268 carries, 1073 yards, 31 catches, 188 yards (1261 total yards), and 6 total TDs.

I know a lot of 2016 can be attributed to Brock and his inability to pass the ball and open up the run game, but I also wonder if a better QB plus being in a RBBC will actually put Miller back into top-10 standard points?

I'm just trying to talk out loud as I make my decision. I have until tomorrow to decide. Thanks to everyone that has helped!
Honestly thinking that those stats are a matter of correlation not really equalling causation...

IOW, I am not going to read into those numbers. Granted, the offense was a mess with Osweiller at the helm, but Miller had some serious volume and didn't do as much with it as we would have hoped. Frankly watching him I am wholely unimpressed. The worry I have about Miller being spelled by Foreman is that Foreman will actually look better and do more with the touches he is given and the time share will start to tilt in Foreman's favor by season's end...

I'm trying to get off the Miller train as we speak. Hoping to get a first for him between 1.1 and 1.6 or so... I'm just not a believer anymore.

Both are enigmas that no one can really predict. I'm not convinced last year was what miller can really do, he was playing through injury a lot last year as well as dealing with a brock led offense.

If you watch a lot of miller film last year, he consistently gained yards but didn't hit a tonne of 20+ yard runs (which he's known for), which inflate stats. That tells me that he did what people thought he couldn't (churn out consistent yardage) just without the home run hits he usually gets.

This article perfectly sums up his season. He faced a stacked box 23% of the time, while also rushing off of 3 or more receiver sets almost 50 % of the time...that's the brock effect if I've ever seen it.

I'm seeing an uptick of production for him this year, if defenses respect the throw more.
