Trade for Frank Gore?

A team in full rebuild has been making quite a few trades. My team (team 1 in sig) is very young and talented and I like it, but weak right now at RB. I see it doing okish the first half of the season, and I'm hopeful some of my rookie core of Dalvin Cook, Joe Mixon, and Corey Davis are putting up starter numbers to become improvements over my current starting roster by the end of the season aka playoffs and a playoff push and maybe can make a run. Toss Hunter Henry in there if Gates finally retires or gets hurt again. Or am I wrong on this prediction of my team?

Rebuild team has Frank Gore. His value has to be next to worthless and very, very cheap, but for the first few weeks at least he should get decent touches; at the same time I anticipate my own rookie running backs getting a lack of touches.

Would it make sense to trade a 3rd, (or 4th or 5th), draft pick for Gore for my team? Maybe one of my back end WRs who are young (Eli Rodgers or Robby Anderson?)

He also has Terrance West who should have a decent season with Dixon out, but I imagine he'd be more expensive.

I honestly don't see any value in trading for Gore

I just traded for him I think he is a very nice RB3 to have , I would want a early 2nd-mid 2nd to move him

10 teamer...id keep the pick to be honest. if your to the point where your "relying" on gore...your either in trouble or trading for a late season push. now is not the time to be trading for frank gore....

i own gore on several teams, bought him 3/4 yrs ago for a 3rd, and still riding it out. lol...but he is not a guy that you should be buying for depth. id rather buy turbin than gore at this point....maybe that makes sense? perhaps gore could/would wind up being the last rb on your bench to start in week 16...and he wins you a title, but thats the only way your starting him.

especially so in a 10 teamer...a 3rd is a top 30, and i'll take that over gore. most drafts...you can find guys atleast 25 deep....i'll take my chances. and im a gore owner for the last few years.

This is what I was thinking. We have an RB/TE flex spot. Ajayi and Riddick are my starting RBs for now, Cook and Mixon could be risky starts first couple weeks, and Hunter Henry/Antonio Gates is hard to predict who gets the fantasy relevant numbers when they both play and neither are hurt. Gore could be the low risk plug in there

Yeah that's what I mean if you are a contender and need the 1 extra flex guy to put you over the top why not spend a late 2nd on him I mean he was a top 12 RB last year , If I can get close to that production from my flex I'm happy AF

He's worth a 2nd as a starting RB. Getting him for a 3rd would be a steal

I'd give up any of the suggested options. A 3rd or later or either worthless player you've suggested. I'd value him similarly (but slightly higher) to Lynch. Chances are good you are going to get a better return from Gore this year.

If you can get him for a 4th you better jump on it , I mean even if you don't want him there is a very good chance you can flip him later to a contender that needs a RB

I would need Gore weeks 1-4 more than anything, I definitely see the risk of him getting hurt in camp or pre-season and calling it a career even if its not as bad as a leg break

Giving up a late 3rd or later is worth it. If he plays well, he gives you a flex option at RB or someone to trade and gain more assets. If he doesn't, you drop him and lose out on your 3rd who would have ended up on waivers anyways.
