Value of Jordan Reed

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Value of Jordan Reed

Postby psu007 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 4:58 am

I've been trying to deal Jordan Reed b/c I don't want the injury risk but I'm trying to get max value. Currently have an offer of Hunter Henry and a 2nd, I would project to be a late 2nd. Should I jump on this, or hold he gets off the PUP fires off a good game or two then try to deal? Am I asking to much trying to get a 2018 1st and smaller piece?

Of course this PUP news had to drop just now.

Henry and a 2nd isn't bad value if you want to cash out and find your future TE too. Asking for an 18 1st and a small piece isn't too much imo. A contender should pay that for Reed. I know I would if I was weak at TE and trying to win now.

That's how I feel. It's a solid offer that could get me out of the Reed game, but I'm ultimately not sure if Henry has the ceiling of someone like Reed.

Iv saw Henry go before Reed a couple of times now in startups so it's definitely a fair trade to get a 2nd on top. Adding a 2nd on your end and turning it into Henry + 1st would be ideal but might be a stretch. Everyone knows Reed is a walking concussion but when healthy he is a beast and they are going to be a lot of targets up in thfor air this year with Djax and Garcon gone. A piece + an 18 1st is definitely not out of the question but depending on which direction you want to take your team Henry and a 2nd is solid

I like the Henry + a 1st if I throw in a 2nd, might broach that subject. I'm warming up to the original offer though. I think if no one else shows interest or a stronger offer I'll probably take it.

The only thing I'll add on, this is probably a late pick as I view him as a pretty strong team.

Dude, Henry > Reed. Reed is made of glass. Take the deal and run before he revokes it.

TAKE THAT NOW - although after the news it might be gone. I traded Reed, my 1.10 and Perriman for Diggs and Ertz and could not be happier

Henry and a 2nd is probably as good as it'll get now, unless you wait and hope he plays well and then trade him.

Make the trade now and get a younger healthy TE. Just think, while you wait for Reed to increase in value Henry could do the same. Being younger will make him harder to acquire in season.
