This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Do it... but I'd honestly take cook straight up so take my advice with a grain of salt.... I don't like McCaffrey, doesn't have the size and strength to be a traditional every down back and his qb is a sub par pocket passer.... if he had someone like Brees who would check it down every play then I'd like him a lot more but he's a gadget player who I don't see fitting in that system. IMO has BUST written all over him.

It's so early right now, you are splitting hairs between these 2 backs imo. Evenso I like Cook > McCaffrey long term. 2nd rounder = gravy.. mmm gravy.

I would have held McCaffery. Maybe it was just off-field issues that made Cook fall to the 2nd round, and maybe he just had a bad day at the combine.

But Minnesota's o-line is garbage for real.

Meanwhile, people are like "Oh, Carolina doesn't throw to RBs, Cam just runs!" while both Carolina and Cam are out there saying "oh man, Cam has to run way less or his career will be cut short, let's spend the 8th overall pick on a pass catching RB".

Okay, so I might be paraphrasing. Anyway, a future 2nd doesn't bridge the gap for me.

Edit: Also, for people mentioning size, McCaffrey is listed at 5'11, 205 while Cook is 5'10, 210. That's not exactly a stunning difference.

Since these two were close in rookie drafts, I would say this a win for you. You could have easily took Cook instead when you drafted and been none the wiser that your league mate wanted CMC that bad.

I'm a little surprised the consensus here has Cook > CMC. Only because everywhere I look, mocks, predictions, rankings, etc have CMC > Cook, and not just in PPR.

Like others have said, I prefer Cook over CMC, so anything on top is free money.

The knocks on CMC are rediculous. Omg he only benched 10 reps at the combine!!! So did half the elite wrs ever. If you actually did some research the staff at Stanford doesn't drill them in the weight room, but teaches them agility and movement, why most of their players don't show well at the combine, even Richard sherman only benched 16 at the combine, hes not weak. Now put CMC In an NFL weight training program and actually have him bench a few times a week. He can add 10 pounds muscle when actually hitting the weights. Now let's say he can realistically get to 5"11 215 pounds. Now let's say he can keep his best in 10 years at combine agility. Watch out. You can't teach elite hands, well I mean u can if your superbowl winning wr dad has taught u since u were 1 year old. You can't teach hard work, it's in u or it isn't. I love cook I really do but CMC is not below him. CMC won't bust, cook could. A 2 to either side who cares. Pick your guy, plant your flag, and don't let a 2 sway u
