Did I get caught up in the Dalvin Cook hype?

I've seen some good things about Cook in camp, so I went out and bought him. 14 team PPR Superflex, RBs also get .25 points per carry.

I sent: Ajayi/John Ross/Brian Quick

I got: Cook/Martavis Bryant

Any thoughts? Gives me an interesting lineup, I just need a TE-

Meh, I'd rather have what you gave up, but it's not too far off. There's risk aplenty on both sides of this deal. I'm low on Bryant staying on the field, otherwise I'd like it.

At this current point, I would rather have what you gave up. Early in the season however, you may be loving this trade if Cook starts to light it up. I basically see this as Cook vs Ajayi and I'm still not sold on Ajayi. This year should give us a better look at him instead of that crazy up and down 2016 he had.

I like the Cook side slightly. A lot of risk there though: Vikings O-line, Latavius, Bryant suspension history. And I'm low on Ross. Quick is a clogger.

I like your trade and would have done it in your shoes. I don't give much value to Ross and especially quick and I love Bryant's upside. Most people who get year long suspensions never make it back because they can't go a year without getting into more trouble. He did, and added 10 lbs of muscle to boot. His speed and athleticism are off the charts, as a No. 2 to AB or a No. 1 elsewhere I like him a lot. Then it comes down to Ajayi vs Dalvin.... Dalvin's value is low right now and I don't buy it, he's gonna get a ton of work in Minnesota and the talent is there. He could be a marhsall faulk type player at best and a serviceable starter at worst. Ajayi's knee is a time bomb... I think you won this trade.

So I like the deal for you, especially given that you're high on Cook. Nothing wrong with raising your personal valuation of a guy by a bit because you like him.

As long as Bryant doesn't get suspended again anytime soon then I am ok with it. I'm not sold on Ajayi.

Don't think you overpaid if you like Bryant, but I would much prefer the other side. I would prefer Ross over Bryant, as Bryant just has too much risk attached to him. I also prefer ajayi, but not by much and after a few weeks it could easily be cook>ajayi.

Depends on how you feel about Ajayi. He probably has more value than Cook right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if Cook ends up being the better RB.

I can't blame you for doing it. Not a huge Ross fan, but I like Ajayi better than Cook and feel he will flash at best and not have long-term value at all.
