Acquire another RB

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Acquire another RB

Postby Flschbrger » Wed Jul 26, 2017 8:28 am

Haven't posted in here a while so thanks for the time guys

I traded my 2.4 and 2.5 picks in this years rookie draft for what I would assume is a late first, then flipped for Crowder

Really like my team this year but unsure about my RB situation. DJ affords me a drop in RB2 obviously but if I get anything out of Perkins I think I'm OK

I haven't made the playoffs since the first year of our league(I won the championship)

Should I entertain the idea of getting rid of a future first to address RB or ride it out one more year?

I'm assuming this is a SF/2QB league. If so, Wilson and Carr alone should carry you into the playoffs, not to mention DJ and the strong WRs you already have. I wouldn't be opposed to going after a RB with a future 1st, but depends on who you're targeting.

You've got some solid options at RB right now...just need one of them to hit as the starter (PP, Fat Rob, Hill, or even Hightower). It's probably not a bad idea to look for an upgrade but it will all depend on who you can acquire with the pick. I'd suggest packaging someone like Lockett with the first to see what you can get.

Thanks for the responses guys - I haven't really targeted anyone specifically with a future first. More just intrigued by the idea

Yes it's a 2 QB league.

I'm hopeful about Perkins. The one game they really let him go he had something like 25 for 125. Really just need for him to produce as a top 20/25 back. Ive also heard talk about putting Duke Johnson as a slot WR which would give him some FLEX value as well

I think you need one of those RBs to pan out and you'll be fine. You could also pair Matthews with your 1st for an RB upgrade.

Duke Johnson is a solid option for your RB 2 slot. Ideally youd want stronger but youre fine dude. Play the wavier wire and put Marvin jones, Lockett and JMatt out there and see if you get any bites for a solid upgrade

I would go after guys with upside but not much hype. TY Montgomery and DMart come to mind. Abdullah too. Might even be able to do this sort for a 2nd, and with the rest of your lineup you really just need an average starter.

I think I'd wait until mid season and look for a team out of the running and then look at their rosters. You may be able to hold your pick now and hope someone breaks out, most likely Perkins or Duke in a ppr if he plays the slot like they are saying.

See if the Crowell owner would trade him for your 1st maybe. I like the idea of going after Martin if you can get him cheap.
