This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

OTC in a startup

Postby Hambone » Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:43 am

12 tm PPR, standard lineup requirements - my team so far:

Brees
L.Miller, Mixon, Powell
OBJ, Dez, Crowder, R.Cobb, D-Jax
Kelce, Ertz

We are in round 13 and I don't pick again until 16.01, so long wait after this pick (I made a bunch of trades, picked up an extra 2019 1st along the way)...best available:

Rivers, T.Taylor, Tanny, Dalton, all rookie QBs
T.West, Blount, AP, not much else
M.Jones, Britt, Golladay

I'm deciding between Rivers (there won't be any solid backups left by time my next pick rolls around), T.West, M.Jones and Golladay. West has a bump with the Dixon news yesterday and Golladay has gotten some nice pub this summer....what say you?

Rivers. Curious as what the trade was If all you picked up was a 2019 first but lost three picks

West.
You need a rb as there's no guarantee of Mixons workload.
Go for one of the rookie QB with your next pick.

Bunch of different trades. Moved a few of those picks to move up to take certain guys earlier (Crowder, Kelce, etc)

I'd grab West here. With Rivers still available, you should be able to get your backup QB at your next pick.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

No way I grab either of those two before Taylor or Rivers...

Don't think I'd get another aging QB to be your backup. West is probably best available right now, so I'd take him and go with a younger option at QB with your next pick.

I'd grab Dalton or West. West should be solid this year but Dalton might be a QB1 this year with all of the additions. Doubt you will play him much over Brees though so West might be the best bet. Can always wait and find another QB when he retires.

I think you need to bolster your RB depth. West seems like the play here.
10 team | 10 Keepers | .5 ppr | QB | RBx2 | WRx2 | RB/WR/TE | WR/TE | K | D/ST

QB: Burrow | Prescott
RB: Chubb | Dobbins | Sanders | Edwards-Helaire | Patterson | Edmonds | Henderson | Edwards | Benjamin
WR/TE: Moore | London | Kelce | Cooks | Lockett | Lazard | Parker | Jones

I went West - didn't realize Dixon was out for the year, thought it was just a minor scope. Made the decision much easier...

Nice pick, you have a good win-now squad for a start-up.

In a start 1QB league, West is probably a fine option with who's all left. I would grab a QB with your next pick or so though as it might be hard to find a good backup with 12 teams.
10 team SF .5ppr-QB,2RB,3WR,TE,Flex,SF,Def (30 spots)
QB: Allen, AR, Brissett
RB: Mixon,Barkley,Rhamondre,Foreman
WR: Deebo,Adams,Jeudy, Devonta,Nuk
TE: Knox,Chig, Woods, Ferguson
2023 picks: 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20
2024 picks: 3 2nds
2025 picks: 3 2nds
