Postby CooperCrush » Tue Jul 25, 2017 4:10 pm

Received an offer to get Jordan Reed and I give up 2018 1st mid-late and Shepard. Not sure I want to give this for reed, but seems like good value.

Could probably include another receiver also

It's close, and maybe even a slight overpay, but I'd do it for win-now purposes.

To the Reed side?

I think as it is, it feels like it's slightly too much for Reed who has a lot of injury concerns (concussions). If you could get an early to mid 2nd added to the Reed side, I would do it.

I would stay put. Shepard is devalued at the moment and with your Wr corp I would just stash him and wait. You also have the hopefully up and coming Ebron. The first is just more than I could pay for the oft-injured Reed considering these facts.

I'd much prefer to have Ebron as a backup plan than to rely on him doing what he's never done before.

It may be a very slight overpay. I'd counter back and try to get a 2nd round pick back on the deal.

I just traded Graham for a 2018 mid 1st and funchess. Reed is more injury prone and is a concussion away from never playing again. I would take shepard and the 1st. I would pay a 2nd for reed

Agree.....Love the player but those concussions are adding up. Hes a young guy and one more could force him out for good to preserve whatever quality of life he may have later on.

I don't trust Reed. I think a mid first is all I would be willing to pay for Reed. It would be overpay and I really like Shepard long term once Marshall is gone.

I would have done this had it been for team 1 in your sig (win now). As it seems to be for team 2, I wouldn't shop for players like Reed.

Seems like every Reed poll on here is a 50/50 split. Its either "a steal" or "too risky".

I'm on the too risky side myself because 6 concussions in 6 years is way too many. He is one big hit from being out of the league for good. There is no doubt he puts up big numbers when on the field, but i'm just not confident he will be on the field much longer.

If you can get a 2nd rounder with Reed as Skip suggested, I think that's a good deal. I would rather have the WR and pick personally, especially since it looks like you are in rebuild mode with Team 2.
