Brady value?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Brady value?

Postby Hambone » Mon Jul 24, 2017 8:50 am

12 tm PPR, 4 pts per QB TD pass... I am in a bit of a rebuild. An owner is interested in Brady and sent the following offer:

I give: Brady and Maclin
I get: Wentz and Prosise

I have Stafford as well at QB, and really like Prosise. Is this a pretty fair offer? Most of the other pieces on his team are higher end guys (Howard, Ajayi, McCaffrey, M.Thomas, D.Parker, etc)....

He is sending you back of the bench depth guys for a top 5 QB and a solid WR. If he wants to win now you need to get at least Thomas added to this deal.
16 team ppr superflex

QB: Garoppolo, Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Mixon, Henry, Booker, Miller, Mack, McNichols, Ballage
WR: Davis, Treadwell, Jmatt, Beasley, DJ Moore, J Washington, Tre’ Smith, Prich, Taywan Taylor, Chad Williams, Benjamin, Krishawn Hogan
TE: Njoku, McDonald

18 picks: 1.13, 2.07, 2.13, 3.02

It's not a bad offer, but I'd try to get him to throw in a 2nd since I expect Brady to outscore Wentz and Maclin to outscore Prosise this year.

Michael Thomas? Would cost quite a bit more than Brady/Maclin, lol

I tried to force a rebuild when I should have reloaded, so I know all about giving away value to try and speed that rebuild up. My advice is to sit tight, don't force it. The value of Brady to a contender isnt going to go down over the next couple of months. Take your time thrashing out a deal that is right for you.
12 TE Prem - Orphan Full rebuild :!:
QB - S.Darnold, D.Lock
RB - J. Taylor, CEH, K. Hunt, A.McFarland, R.Armstead, D.Evans, D. Dallas, L.Bowden

TE - T.Hockenson, B.Jarwin, D.Knox, J.Smith
2x 2021 1st

12team, PPR, SF
QB-RBx2-WRx2-SF-FLX
QB - Baker, Prescott, Stidham
RB - D.Freeman,A.Jones, Jam.Williams, R.JIII, K.Balage, G.Edwards
WR -Evans, Smith-Schuster, Golladay, C. Godwin, T.Higgins, A. Lazard
TE - D. Waller, I.Thomas

Agree with the first part, but Mike Thomas (as long as it's not Rams MT) is way too much to expect back with Procise and Wentz.
I'd try to get Parker, though.
Maybe counter with Brady, Maclin and a 2nd (not your own if you have another, as you are making your team worse) for Wentz, Procise and Parker.
Basically add in Parker for a 2nd to the deal to bring it back to even, IMO

I agree that it is a fair deal. I'd wait to sell Brady for more once the season starts and a contender needs to better their QB situation.

Parker is likely valued too high but it would depend on the guys true needs for QB. I like the trade as I believe in Prosise being the most valuable back in PPR on the hawks this season but more importantly later. But I also think you could probably milk a bit more out of him picks-wise.

id likely take wentz before brady and procise before maclin in a start up....id take that since your rebuilding.

you haven't listed the details, but this trade is pretty easy if you have a true rebuild on your hands. brady and maclin have nowhere to go but down in terms of value. while procise and wentz have nowhere to go but up when it comes to this particular deal. sure you may be able to get a 1st during the season for these guys, but by that time wentz and procise may be worth much more aswell....id take the chance as long as you still own your own 1st next year. at minimum, your walking away with a franchise qb hopefully. potentially walking away with a solid fantasy qb and nice rb. essentially in a rebuild....walking away with your qb of the future is good imo. you wont have to worry about that going forward in your rebuild.

i will echo what others have said though....there is no reason to force a rebuild. this is not a spectacular offer, but at the same time...if wentz and procise were startable....you wouldnt be seeing it. better to be proactive imo. (if your truly rebuilding).

without seeing your team and pick situation...id suggest that you determine the state of your team. this one seems pretty easy if you arent shooting for the title this season. i have to wonder if maybe your better keeping what you have and continue to piece the puzzle together?
even if brady retires on your team....you have stafford.
