Tyreek+ for Adams

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tyreek+ for Adams

Postby jnappy » Sun Jul 23, 2017 11:40 am

Just finished a startup superflex draft. Looking at my team I know I'm really weak at RB, and I drafted Adams because he was BPA, but don't love him and think he might be overvalued. Ty Monty on the other hand is a player I think is undervalued going into his second season as an RB, starting for one of the best offenses in the league. I was thinking of offering Adams for Tyreek and Monty. What do you think about that?

Highlights of my team (QB/SF/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/F/F/F):
QB: Mariota, Russ, Flacco
RB: Ingram, CJA, L. Murray, Foreman, Sproles, Thompson, McNichols, Drake
WR: Nuk, ARob, Jarvis, Adams, BMarsh, Enunwa
TE: Ertz, Brate, Clay

I like that quite a bit for you but I don't think a Tyreek will him for that right now. You can ask, but I would be surprised if it were accepted.

I'd go after a better RB straight up for Adams.

Maybe Lamar Miller?

Yeah, I wouldn't buy Tyreek with Adams. Keep Adams here. You could go after Miller or Hyde or even Cook, CMC, Mixon, Fournette. You never know if it could work. Just talk about how well he did last year.

I'd rather have Adams than Miller, but like the idea of going after Cook or CMC.

Go after a rookie if you need another RB. Not a fan of Tyreek or Miller (Foreman lurking)...

What were the picks of the RB's listed above? Since you just finished this start up draft, I would be surprised if you got any of those RBs for Adams straight up if the owners passed on Adams to take the RB. Most of the above RB's have a higher ADP than Adams (I know its different from league to league) so I think trying to get Ty Mont and a lesser WR is the way to go. Just my 2 cents

Going after two of the most divisive players on this forum, expect an array of answers. I'd much rather target a Miller than Tyreek/Monty, neither of whom I care much for.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

x2. Adams and Hill are both young WRs with one great year so far. I value them similarly and would expect an even swap. I doubt either side would want to add anything to get the other.

I prefer Adams to Hill longterm, but Hill is probably the better short term play and getting Ty fortifies your RB depth a little bit. I'd take the deal.
