antonio/AP or Gordon/Cobb

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

antonio/AP or Gordon/Cobb

Postby vixen » Sun Jul 23, 2017 8:31 am

this is for my ppc team 1 below

i am thinking about offering this to an owner...
before trade my lineup would be
Wilson
Coleman, AP (or Martin)
Antonio, AJG, Marshall, Thielen
Brate

AFTER
Wilson
Gordon, Coleman
AJG, Thielen, Marshall, Cobb (or Martin)
Brate

what does everyone think? honestly, i am not even sure if the other owner would do this...RBs are difficult to get in this league...
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

Seems fair with your setting, but I'm going to assume most will be on the AB side.

I don't think it's a bad trade, and seems pretty fair on both sides. But going out on a limb here, I think the responses so far favor the AB side due to the fact that you only need to start one RB (even though it's .25 PPC). It's still 1-point PPR, and you can start up to 4 WR's, so it's quite a slide IMO from AB/AJG as your top-2 to AJG/Cobb with the receivers you've got behind them.

You'd gain some longevity by replacing AP with Gordon, but likely lose production by shipping AB for Cobb. Seems like kind of a wash, though I honestly have no idea how the PPC scoring affects the player's output end of season.

I'd keep AB here. Even in your league, he should be worth more than Gordon/Cobb.
10 team SF .5ppr-QB,2RB,3WR,TE,Flex,SF,Def (30 spots)
QB: Allen, AR, Brissett
RB: Mixon,Barkley,Rhamondre,Foreman

AB is worth more than Gordon/Cobb by himself (IMO) so I would say trying to make that deal for your team would be ill-advised.
Team 1
12-team, 0.5 PPR, SuperFlex, TE Premium (+0.5 PPR) | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX, 1SF

WR: Jefferson, Adams, Metcalf, Godwin, Ridley, Lockett, Cooks
TE: Kittle, Njoku, Gesicki

Team 2
12-team, PPR | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX

QB: Wilson, Jones
RB: Robinson, Gibbs, Mixon, Sanders, R. White
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Lockett, Addison, D. Johnson, Meyers, Campbell, R. Moore
