This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby knuckles50 » Sat Jul 22, 2017 9:00 pm

As the league favorite, I traded away Parker for Jordy. This deal makes me a superpower. Yes, brag post but why are those 2 was so closely ranked in dynasty that an owner would accept?

They aren't. That's a steal. Regardless of age but if I had to answer your question my guess would be that with Jordys age and injury history he wanted rid of him & he's high on Parker.

Jordy is old, so I would not be surprised to see him retire in the next couple years. If he helps you win now, then it is a good deal for you. Unless Parker breakouts out and you miss out on 10 years of WR 1/2 production. Which I don't see as that likely, but possible.

As a Parker owner in a contract league it makes it a total different ball game. I'm high on Parker for the price I have him at.

The advantage in 2017 is massive. On a serious contender I'd do this deal too. If you believe that Jordy will again be a better redraft asset in 2018 this is a fairly easy deal to do IMO.

Parker doesn't have a top end skill set. He will max out at a WR3 type production which makes him an easily replaceable player. Great move for your team.

I think there's certainly potential for Parker, but I think this was a great trade to bolster your WR corps as a contender.

Jordy is an injury away from hanging it up, he even mentioned that he was considering retiring prior to last year. He's 32 and has had a number of injuries on the wrong side of 30. It's hard to think his value ever increases. Alot of Parker believers think he is set up for a breakout 3rd year WR season. Just look at Jordy's first three seasons. He was a different player than what we see today, and Parker has the potential to do the same.
